Yes the transformers don't sound like emotionless drones when they have accents
And I guess at the end of the day, it is a cartoon aimed at kids and you don't need to explain everything plot wise.
I'm taking this too seriously again.............damn!
As a Scot i have to ask.
whit accent ur yeh talkin aboot?
G1 Soundwave's voice is stereotypical of an emotionless drone and is one of the coolest voices ever. It's a shame modern incarnations weren't as good. Closest was War For Cybertron.
Yeah Bayverse was far to Dr Claw for me. (Yes in know who did the voice.)
Agreed, they were supposed to be annoying I think they were great.
Yes, so long as it actually adds character and isn't just there for the sake of it.
For example, AoE Drift respected and liked Japanese culture because he identified with it (that's about right, right?), so of course he would base his English speaking voice around the accents of the Japanese. That works. If it's done for no actual reason...Well, it's just annoying.
I LIVE for Transformers with accents. It's part of what made Animated so endearing.
It seems so lazy! A character built on an accent!
Is it so that the kids can say "I want the red Ferrari with the Italian accent"?
It makes as much scene robots needing alt mode and mass shifting and robots turning grey when they die and machines are some how alive.
it's not real sci-fi it's sci-fi-pulp-fiction. Just roll with it. It's fun.
Plus i'm sick of most of the cons sounding gruff and tough and mean.
No ... Never!
I don't mind accents, as long as I can understand what they say. When written in text, though, I don't like it.
Separate names with a comma.
