Yes, I keep the packaging. I have towers of boxes in my playroom.

Yup, keep all my boxes. Starting to run out of room for stuff.

Only for rare/expensive stuff. I kept the boxes for my RTS Wreck-Gar, RTS Windcharger, some Animated stuff, and pretty much all my 3rd party stuff.

I keep the card backs from carded figures but unless the toy is an exclusive or an import, the boxes go in the trash.

I used to keep boxes for the 1/6th scale stuff I got but then I figured, what's the point? I don't keep boxes for anything anymore. Waste of space, really.

    LOL

I have one box full of boxes, that's it. For an Optimus Mini-Bust with its foam insert, City Commander, Protector, MegaSCF's, Encore Starscream, Revoltechs, a couple other things and some other non-TF stuff.

I also have all the TF Mighty Muggs boxes displayed.

Most other boxes/cards, anything retail, even Henkei and United cards and blisters- into the recycling bin. There's no point in keeping them.

I also toss instructions. Same reason. No point in keeping them.

    No they won't.

Anyway, right now I have exactly one box... The box for MP Megatron. When I had MP-04 (Prime w/ trailer) I had all his boxes and packaging, but when I sold him, he was mailed in all of that of course. I don't have the space, nor see the point in saving all the tons of boxes/packaging/cardbacks etc for all the general release stuff. I save toys and their instructions, that's all.

Only time will tell. I'm sure the kids back in the late/early '80s-90s didn't think that any of the G1 boxes would be worth anything and just tore them apart and threw them away.

This. I store TF boxes in big copy paper boxes, and I'm running out of boxes for my boxes! :lol  Yep, no doubt about it, they take up a lot of room, fast.

I keep all my boxes so I have a place to put the figure when they're run their course on my shelf, or when I move eventually. I'm totally running out of room in my closet though. It's a problem.

It's funny, when it comes to storing packaging, I have no set prerequisites except for a single one that I've had for every toy from every toyline ever since I was a kid:
As long as it looks cool.

The only packaging I keep are boxes for Japanese imported figures like Revoltech.

I tend to keep the packaging for stuff that comes on cards, since the bubble/tray can be useful in protecting the item and keeping it clean when it is stored (this also went for Alternators stuff I had, which turned me on to this idea). And the cards don't take up much space on their own.
