Do you honestly believe there is Alien life out there in the universe? If so what do you think they would be like? Clichéd movie Aliens bent on destruction? Explorers? or just animals or microbes?

I believe there is, the universe is too big not too, but I believe they would only be microbes.

I'll like to think so yes, and I hope they're just as irrational and silly as human beings. It'd be nice to know that we're not the only numbnuts in the universe.

There's probably something alive out there somewhere, sure. Now, INTELLIGENT alien life? That's a whole different bag of chips.

    Not this.

If they are advance in technology to get to our planet, hopefully they are not trigger happy because someone gave them the OK hand sign, and they though that we insulted their momma's *bleep* hole.

Since we weaponized new technologies and used them against our enemies, due to misuderstands or being so full of ourselves with the big egos, then that will be the end of human life.

However if they get rid of the counterproductive people of human advancement, I will welcome it. Heck, even joint in.

"Hey see that guy, blast him. But spare the vital organs, I bet there is some kid who will make better use of them."

Given the sheer size, microbial life is probably quite common. Complex life, less so, but still not that hard to find given enough time. Intelligent life, well given how rare it is on this mudball is probably out there. Whether it can travel here to meet us or communicate in a slightly faster than a text every few thousand years is highly improbable however.

You should rethink your own statement. Based on it alone, you won't be helping the aliens remove those coutnerproductive big ego peoples. You'll be one of those removed peoples.

And I didn't say anything about them being violent or aggressive, just irrational and silly. Those two things doesn't always equal violence or even tendency towards violence.

Sure, I believe something is alive out there. Everything is just so far away, I can't concieve being able to "visit" one another.

Absolutely. Universe is far too big for us to be the only game in town. We're not that special.

Now, if you ask me if we'll ever FIND any of it... that's another matter. I'd like to hope so, but it probably won't be within any of our lifetimes. I'd love to be wrong, though.

Of course there's life out there and I hope we never find it. No matter when it happens - tomorrow, 100 years, 1,000 years - we won't be prepared for it.

It would be foolish and ignorant to think that we are the only life out there, if space never ends, then there are more galaxies, if there are more galaxies, there are more planets, if there are more planets there has to be more life, so i def. believe that there is more life out there like aliens. So yes...

Me, I'm just a guy who once was called idealistic because I don't think humans should live the way we do, but also known to help strangers and friends, because I believe there is no gain in knowingly hurting another.

Hey, do you ever think about "Where are we trying to accomplish as a society?" I see too much people just trying to live through their lives, and not trying do even little to help their fellow man. Metaphorically Speaking, like people on the freeway trying to get home. Cutting people off, making risky maneuvers, hit and runs, etc.

When I look at history, there was a group of people who is trying to do things for humanity, get from Point A to B faster, for example, Technology is not a problem, it is how it is used when it is not for recreational purposes. I see less of that and more of Greed and the desire to become famous.

Today, we have weapons that can not only destroy our enemies, but the possible the planet itself, thus killing ourselves. With Terrorists, Bad Leaders, and Druglords, all on this one tiny planet. We are also our enemy. That is irrational.

The proof, there are more Person A harms Person B

You can see why I'm called idealistic.

It was one of my college roommates who said "A person have too much power." Until years later I've finally understood what that meant.

But you use irrational in a Homer Simpson sense. Well OK. I would like to see that.

    OK I shut up now.

I think its a definite possibility. I mean, the Universe is just oh-so-BIG, it would be a real surprise to find this is the only planet inhabited.

I would believe there is conventional (non supernatural/Deistic) life outside the planet Earth long before I would ever believe in a mythological deity creating the Earth in 7 days. I remain unconvinced of either one.

Considering the universe has been around for billions of years, I think it would be somewhat conceited to think that evolution hasn't created another intelligent being in this universe apart from ourselves. Perhaps even moreso than us? Anything is possible.
