I been in school for a while and developed a small collection of figures. I call it my away from home collection. It consists of g1 related legends class figures that I display on my desk. It the dollar general rts repaints and universe micromaster devy. Do you have an away from home collection like at work or at college and other places?

Not me, but that's based on being not being off to school on a campus. I have had a small setup at work.

I used to have my main collection at my parents house in my old room. When I moved out, the toys stayed behind an I began a secondary reinforcement set at my new place where I lived. That collection grew pretty big ( it was arnd the start of the MP line ). Eventually the 2 collections became one an it was a little overwhelming. Needless to say I sold off alot of what I wasn't t into anymore an only kept the stuff that I really wanted to collect.

A little school collection for me. It mainly consists of figures that star in my comic and figures I've bought in the area and haven't felt the need to take home.

Yup, I'm originally from Canada and my main home and collection is there but in the past few years or so I started working in China 10 months out of the year and started a collection at my apartment there.

I moved to Germany almost ten years ago, and had a huge collection I left with my parents. Every trip home, I would stuff a big carry-on bag with Transformers to take back to Germany with me. I'd also sell stuff I no longer wanted while in the States. After many many trips, I finally have everything I really want here in Germany with me.

The crazy thing is, no airport security personnel ever asked me to open my Transformers bag after X-raying it. I always figured they'd want to know what all the crazy objects were, but I guess they only look for electronics or something.

I guess that means no alt-mode Megatrons. Good call.

My collection was split over 2-3 houses at one point, sucked. Much better now.

Although it did illustrate to me just how many figures I buy in an average year, I went from no figures in my new place to fuck loads in very short order.

The first time I moved out for a long time was at University, and weirdly no, I didn't have any toys there.

Then I graduated and my desk at work developed a life of its own (I was at a video games company) but it was more of a display then anything else. There were Technic Lego models, Kaiyodo Evangelion figures, Powerpuff Girl plushes etc. But everything was kinda on rotation, for instance the Takara PVC's would routinely be replaced when the newer ones came out.

I did have a funking great MOTU 2003 collection around my GFs place on my shelf there. Castle Greyskull and everything. Now I'm married to her and everything is in one place now.

These days all I have at work are Legends RTS Starscream and some Minicons. Nothing crazy.

Not anymore. I did for years, though. It was awful having my G1s that far away!

I have one half of my collection in the US where I lived and worked for two years.

Now that I'm in India, I've resumed collecting and have built up a decent sized collection here as well.

Someday though I would like to merge them both. :)

I started to have a VERY small collection at work (consisted of one game of thrones paperweight and a box of Tim Burton's Tragic Toys for Girls and Boys), but thank the heavens I recently moved away from a desk job. So now I don't have an office I go to everyday. I bounce around. I suppose I could keep some stuff at my most consistent job, but I'm only there like 6-8 days a month, so it wouldn't really have a point.

Up until about 5 months ago I had my old Star Wars collection at my parents house, but I recently cleaned out and keep everything of mine either on my shelves or in the garage. One day I hope to have a home away from home collection... In a vacation home on Hawaii. One day.

I had my G1 Optimus at work until I came in one day and it was gone, someone moved it into my drawer and I took it home...

Later on, I brought in the Optimus Kre-O and put it together while at work and then the boss came in one day and said it had to go... it doesn't look professional to the new "clients" that show up to inspect the help desk before signing the contract.

I no longer leave them at work, any I take in, I take home at the end of the night. Then there is today, I forgot my MP Optimus and MP ThunderCracker at work today.

I keep a squad in my office on campus, usually 2-6 robots that rotates from home to school.
