Pretty straight forward. I don't think it needs much more explanation.

I haven't voted yet because I don't know if I've made up my mind about stickers. In some instances I like how they look- and yet I can't justify dropping $75 on stickers (which is how many sets Ive eyed up) because that's an MP bot!

Over time, Stickers degrade and leave that horrid residue. I don't use them.

I typically only use faction stickers. I did buy MT Quantron and UT Octane set both impulse buys. I think they added a little flair for 2 plain looking figures. Overall I don't buy them because they add up and takes funds away from buying figures

Except faction logos, generally no, although I did buy the sticker set for MP-28 as it had those stickers which could be placed on his tires which allowed him to roll better and it was only a dollar.

I only collect MP scale these days, and as it stand right now i dont use stickers. Most of the time i dont think they are needed on Masterpiece scale figures. Most of the time...
But then there's the faction symbols. A part of me really want to put those on my 3P figures, but it kinda feels wrong putting stickers on (sometimes) paint. There's residue and they tend to look bad after while. And they cost money.
So right now, nope. In the future? Maybe.

Up until now I couldn't care les about stickers, not even faction ones... to me they always made collectibles look more like toys. The phrase "less is more" springs to mind.

However, if anyone produces a Martini racing stripe for Maketoys Downbeat, then I'll probably get it. The official racing colours are a large part of my nostalgia for that character.

Faction symbols only. The rest generally are too tacky.

I voted no because I use dry rubs and even then, it's just to put a faction symbol on them.

I find that often a figure needs the sticker set just to feel finished. It's almost like Hasbro is not only aware of Toyhax, but uses them as a cost-saving measure. Why should Hasbro spend the money on paint apps when Toyhax will just do the job for them? MP10's trailer was bland without the sticker set. MP Prowl looked terrible - who thought the bare bones, minimalistic for the sake of animation cost cartoon deco actually looked good on that toy?

And a lot of regular releases just look unfinished, or at least the sticker set improves on the existing deco. What I don't care for is the "full-body" sticker sets that cover entire panels and just about replace the entire deco. Those are just too big to stay stuck properly and never look good for long. Give me a nice set that just adds to the deco.

Voted yes, preferably smaller stuff though. If there are more sticker than plastic, there's a problem. Exceptions to both though and I haven't actually ordered in a long while. Looking at MP Bluestreak's set once I get around to one, which is a good example of what I like in a set. If a set was made to coat a movie Prime with flames because Hasbro decided an uneven gradient would be close enough, that is too far on Toyhaxs and Hasbros part.

I always felt stickers like that were aiming 1 product at 2 different markets.

There are people who want it to look like the cartoon (like myself) with extra detail but are ok with it sorta plain. (I hate saying that because people here automatically think when you say 'toon you mean PLAIN PLAIN. Instead I'm referring to the stuff FT's does. Detailed but not over or under done. Not Takara lets leave everything off like they've been doing lately.)

The other group of people are the ones who want their masterpieces to remind them of the original toy more but upgraded to masterpiece with some toon influence. Those are the people I felt reprolabels and what not aim for. They give you that trim and stuff that the original g1 toy had to push it more in that direction.

So IMO it depends what kind of collector you are.

I think third parties and Hasbro rely also on Perfect Effect and chums to "fix" toys.

I wish Reprolabels would sell water slide decals. I don't mind some of the extra details, but don't like the sticker look. Would much prefer for them to look painted on.

Not so straightforward. My answer is "sometimes."

For Hasbro stuff, usually not. Why spend $8 to pretty up a $15 toy? Some stuff, like Combiner Wars Wheeljack, practically require stickers, though.

For 3P, I generally use a faction symbol and that's it. They tend to be detailed enough already and the Reprolables sets for them just seem to add drawn-on greebles or, worse, glowing honeycombs, to any flat surface they can find. But again, there are exceptions. I usually buy sets for characters with emergency vehicles for alt modes, like police cars or ambulances, because I like the touches of extra, real world detail. Cars like Jazz and Mirage, too, if it more accurately recreates their racing livery.

I haven't even put faction symbols on, though I'll probably get some decals/dry rubs at some point. In general, I slant heavily toon and the stickers usually slant toy, so that plays a part too.
