I saw a UFO a mile above me while driving in the country 15 years ago in Tolar, TX. HEARD it even. It sounded like echoy beeping along the lines of some malfunctioning control board but still unworldly to me. Green, red and blue lights. I swear it. There's no one on this planet who can convince me otherwise, so yes I'm firm believer in UFOs.
My thoughts exactly. I don't care what the skeptics say, they just need to open their eyes to what's real.
Good question. Another question, do we, inhabitants of this planet, deserve it? I'm carrying a spray bottle just in case.
There was a 6.4 magnitude earthquake this morning with the epicenter being right near Area 51. Let the conspiracies begin.
I can tell you this - I saw stuff in Iraq that was invisible to the naked eye - could only see them when looking through Night Vision devices, like Helmet mounted Mono scope, and Weapon scope that could toggle between normal/heat and IR.- At first I thought it was a satellite, but then when I saw it accelerate, decelerate, make insane 90 degree angle banks, make what I assume to be massive drops and increases in altitude - knew it was not "human" And even being Infantry, was trained on Friendly/Enemy aircraft.
Definitely UFOs, there's gotta be some aliens out there somewhere. As other people have mentioned, Earth can't be the only life in the universe. As for ghosts, I guess I'm a little skeptical. I'm not about to entirely deny the existence of beings like that, but I wish I had a little more proof? With technology and how it's so easy to fake these things nowadays, ghosts don't really seem as plausible to me as aliens... At least for UFOs, humans themselves are proof that advanced life can exist in the universe. Ghosts are a little more debatable than that.
What constantly gets me about UFOs, is that people think that Aliens would actually visit Earth. No, I don’t say as “why would they visit Earth.” But as fucking how. The Universe is a massive place, much more massive then most people grasp. I think, personally, that a good way to tell if someone grasps the sheer size of the place we live in, is if they believe we are being visited by Aliens. Firstly, you have the matter of transport. Lets say that the nearest planet with life is 100,000 light years away. That means that traveling at the speed of light, it would take you 100,000 years to reach our planet. Even with the use of any supposed cryongenics of life extending technology, you’d be making a one way trip, because your homeworld would have experience 200,000 years of progress in that time. Secondly. And something I don’t think most people understand, is that because the Universe is so vast, it takes light a long time to travel from place to place. When we use our telescopes to look into the furthest points away from us in space, lets say something 10 million light years away, what we are seeing is the light that left that object 10 millions years ago. To put it simply, it takes light(the visible image) 10 million years, again traveling at the speed of light, to reach us. We are literally looking into the past, and the objects we observe are currently in different states then what we observe. So, lets say there is an Alien species comparable to our own, perhaps more advanced in some ways. When they look upon Earth in their telescopes, they will see our planet depending when it was depending on how many light years away they are. If thats 100 light years, they will see the Earth as it was in 1920. If it’s millions, well, millions of years ago. And to top it all off. In order to see the surface of our planet enough to know that there are not natural formations here, they would possible need telescopes the size of moons or planets. It is practically impossible for a civilization to be able to detect us without being able to see into the future. It’s easy to let your sense of understanding be swayed by the works of science fiction, it’s easy to say that some alien race is so advanced that these things don’t matter to them, but reality is not so easy. It is statistically likely that there is other life in the universe. It is so vast, that the conditions needed will be repeated somewhere enough times to the point it takes hold. But that life has not visited us, because it can’t.
Of course I do! You don’t have to be alive or human to enjoy your existence and achieve your goals! Dead people and people from other planets can do anything they set their minds to!
Have you ever heard of the Alcubierre Warp Drive? It might not be possible to go faster than light in relativistic space, but bending space-time itself allows us to locally break those rules, so that we're riding a "wave" of compressed and expanded space that can travel faster than light, because there's no limit to how fast the space-time continuum can travel. So... no, it is most definitely possible that intelligent extraterrestrials have visited us. The math is there, but we humans just can't cough up the power requirements just yet.
If the chance of there being life outside this solar system and galaxy is greater than absolute zero (and I guess that depends on whether or not we can observe every nook and cranny of the universe), then I'm of the opinion it's true there's life out there. Even more advanced than us, even. However, because they haven't assumed absolute publicly known control of our crazy go nuts world/haven't destroyed us all yet, they must be the most incompetent "smart" people in all the universe. "Ghosts" is a bit trickier. Because there's mystical paranormal, then there's interdimensional paranormal. Then again if there's a greater than zero chance, then it likely must be true somewhere. I dunno.
