    I was just thinking.
Seeing Bulkheads BIN for 39 shipped, Starscreams BIN for 59 shipped,
MISB Megs, SS etc. on eBay right now.
Seems like these toys are really hitting the bay now.
Do you really think we will have to wait another 4-5 months??
My guess is it won't take long for we can all buy these toys for retail price within a month on eBay.
I already got 4 loose toys and probably will score the other 3 within a month or so.
    What do you think?

With the way things are going, Hasbro probably gonna change the date to something April-ish.
UNLESS the new movie repaints do REAL REAL REEEEEEAL good, which is unlikely.

If you want a Bulkhead then you're in luck on ebay, if you want Prime, Megs or Screamer then you'd better have deep pockets!

Having said that, with the exception of the two pack (which will probably show tomorrow or monday) I've seen every wave 1 toy fully packaged on ebay now.

If Hasbro don't get them out of their warehouses then they're just going to keep watching them trickle out the back door instead.

They really should release the toys in February.

I'm betting we'll start seeing these hit sooner rather than later. Heck, I'm thinking Hasbro might actually have a few at Botcon for sale or something. wasn't it Transformers Armada where a bunch of the toys were available first through Hasbro at Botcon?

Them being ready isn't the only issue. Hasbro might hold up on shipping 'em if Movie toys are still doing well.

I think it's more likely shroobmaster's right, though. I imagine we'll start getting sighting late March/early April.

Yeah, I hope they do it sooner, seeing nothing but bare shelves or repaints is a little tiring. Least it means I can save up to nab every figure, so far I'm that liking it.

Seeing how much they have announced for the rest of the movie line indicates new toys sooner than later, hasbro hates empty shelves.

I thought I read that the toys are supposed to hit saturation in June, not be released in June. I may be wrong/wishful thinking though...

Since toyfair '08 is next month (Feb 17-20) I'm sure we'll have a definate timeline for the series.

While I don't see them releeasing them earlier, I can see them telling us about what month that the line will debut on (all we know now is sometime in the fall). I know the wait till June will be hard, but, I'm willing to wait for these toys, as I'd rather Hasbro not speed up production (could cause some QC problems), and it gives me plenty of time to save up money for when it hits, as I plan to be a completionisth with this line (or at least try, the activators are the one's I'll probably skip depending on what they end up being).

interesting to think that theres a whole bunch of TF 'newbies' who are loving movie toys and have never even heard of animated. Further to that if i wasnt a TF fan and reading the boards etc id have no idea of the existence of TF animated, the movie is very mainstream by comparison.

the sooner the movie toys are out the way the better although its a shame that they cant run them parallell (id prefer that, better to have and not want than to want and not have), they are so distinct from each other. will animated end as movie 2 toys go to shelf, i hope not!!

I'm thinking that it'll end a bit before TF2 stuff goes up (especially if the movie gets pushed back). We'll have the new Universe line to fill in what would have been a gap between Animated and the sequel. I personally don't see the TF2 line starting till early to mid 2009 (depending on when the movie is released). In the end, once the 1st Movie's stuff is off the shelves, we can look forward to the rest of the year to have a full Animated line, and then a nice sized Universe line.

If they show pictures of toy Megatron in Earth Mode that will totally relieve my anxiety for the wait of these toys

6/7 episodes of animated have already aired, so unless you don't watch TV and know no one who watches TV you'd probably have heard of it.

Any word on when the "premium" movie toys are going to be on shelves?

"The most recent issue of the Transformers Club Magazine reports that the Hasbro brand manager Mike Ballog has stated that the Transformers: Animated toyline has been delayed until late-June. The full-line release will now happen in August.

This is a push from the spring 2008 roll out of the line revealed during Licensing International Expo 2007 back in June."

this is the last official-ish report i have seen regarding the release dates, but it is from november. i don't understand why hasbro won't release both movie & tf animated toys at the same time?? if that is why they are holding off that is totally stupid on their part. they are loosing money by doing that! i wonder what they are thinking???

i also hope this last report i have seen is totally wrong...i don't want to wait that long!
