Looking to get a new Android tablet and looks like for the newer ones, Samsung only makes ones that are cell service compatable.

Main issue for me is the price. I was looking for something around 10" for like $250 tops. Now looks like the newer ones are all $400.

I just use to to read comics and watch movies I download.

Any decent tablets that are the cheaper Wifi only?

I don't know Android, but iPads are still available as WiFi only. You won't get one of those for $250, but I'd be baffled if someone isn't offering a non-Apple tablet without that option given that even the pointlessly expensive option is.

Of course. Googles Pixel tablet will only be available as wifi only for example.

I have a S8 Ultra which is wifi only (no cellular version option) but its their top end.

Not sure the prices but Samsung S series has both wifi or cellular versions...but since it their top level it'll be more on the higher price scale. They also have the A series which I think is the budget or mid level which too has wifi or cellular versions.

    ..

If anything you can pick up a Galaxy S6 or S6 Lite for cheaper now. I have the S6 and it's great for reading comics.

Thanks! The first one is more what I'm looking for. I have the model from 2019 and I didn't see any updated one for awhile. Not sure why it wasn't there on the Samsung site when I checked....

Thx! I never considered a Pixel, but I'll look into this one as well.

What’s wrong with the 2019 model? That’s still decently new to me.

I'm still using my S6, I love it.

Any major differences between the S6 and S8? I didn't get the 7 because there didn't seem to be much of an upgrade at the time.

The biggest is being able to use the tablet as a wireless second monitor (in Dex Mode). It also has 120hz refresh rate.

And the base S8 is LCD while the S8+ and S8 Ultra is AMOLED.
