Do I have a defective Recon Ironhide?

    I just bought a recon Ironhide today. Upon transforming, I realize that the hip joint does not peg into the hole in the upper torso. It looks like the hole should be hollow or at least deeper. There's no way for the peg to go all the way in. See pic. (I misplaced my camera usb cable, so all I can upload at this point is a cellphone pic)

    Any way to fix this?

    The regular mold doesn't peg in all the way either it will pop out. Check the feedback thread to see if this is a common problem

    Mine pegs ok, but it's so tight it makes a loud click. The tolerance is so tight that it doesn't surprise me at all that people have issues.

    It doesn't show too well on the cellphone pic, but the hole is maybe 1 mm deep. No way that the peg can fit in.
