Looking good! At this point though, given there are only 2 days left in the month I expect this won't be arriving until early to mid September. Also, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one frustrated by the floppy coattails/tail piece. Such a stupid, stupid design choice by Hasbro! I mean ffs, it's on a pin and doesn't connect to anything, what did they think was going to happen!? With the new tail piece in this kit, I can no longer tuck it up into the gap in the arm so I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with it. Unless anyone has some good suggestions I think my figure is doomed to permanently be displayed in bot mode.

 

Nail polish?

 

I cancelled my preorder. I don't really see anything here that works better *for me* than the stock configuration.

Too much hanging off, too much snap on this and that.

 

I thought about trying the magic floor polish but I've heard that doesn't work so well for pins.

 

Great to see the tail used as a lance/sword. Really excited to get this set.

I pretty much agree with ya, on the tacked-on nature of this set. But I think this is more of, each person mileage may vary kinda situation. As Blacklai have said on the previous page, at least there are weapons which can be use for Grimlock.

 

It works fine for pins as long as the parts have enough of a gap between them that the polish can actually seep into the joint. Should work fine for Grimlock's rear skirt. Other people have reported success.

man, that tail looks good. Nice coverup of the gaps, and the shoulder/ hip things are really nice.

Welp, I'm on my second coat of floor polish on that damn under tail flap and it still droops down to the table, albeit more slowly. Seriously, what the hell were they thinking with that design!? It's like they forgot gravity was a thing. *sigh* I guess I'll just keep applying another coat each day until the upgrade kit arrives, maybe by then it'll be secure.

Agreed, and I too got mine from tfsource. Since it hasn't shipped by the end of August like DNA Design said it would, they really need to update us on what's going on. It surely won't take much longer than a week for the kits to arrive though, at least I would think.
