DNA is definitely a top tier company, they listen to feedback and react very well, this has doubled my excitement for this set!

I took a lot of screenshots and comparisons because I was thinking about this too the other day. To be the correct size, his double sword needs to be about as tall as him and his shield needs to be about shoulder height when set on the ground. Or since ss Sentinel is 7 inches tall, his double sword 7 inches long, single sword 3.5 inches, and his shield 5.5 inches long. This sword looks right around the correct length. The shield's shape and colors are pretty accurate, but it's slightly small and not as thick as it should be. But his shield in the movie is huge and clunky and there's no way he should be able to swing it around so deftly. I'm okay with the size it is here because it's a little more manageable for the toy itself

His shield was THICK, too. I'm pretty sure it has more mass than a carbot like bumblebee or dino. I'm also happy with the size from this upgrade kit.

It really was. That was what surprised me the most when looking closer at screenshots. It wasn't just a shield, it must have been a bludgeoning weapon too. Getting hit with it would be like getting whacked with a steel beam

Here's just an idea, what if someone were to make a Sentinel figure where his shield takes up a significant amount of his vehicle mode. That would help a lot with the issue of massive alt mode with a smaller bot mode, his shield could take a bunch of firetruck panels and fold them up behind to get the accurate thickness.

It’s definitely both an offensive weapon as well as defensive. He bashes and throws Sideswipe with it and used it to smack Optimus around a bit. It’s a beefy bit of hardware.

Shields can be a deadly weapon when used well. I miss reading up on all the stuff medieval knights did. It was some hardcore stuff.

I was surprised when the ss toy didn't do that, but then it turned out that they handled most of the kibble well anyways. Even the legends toy did that.
I wonder if Sentinel's shield has some sort of other hardware in it, like a negative force generator of some kind or mild anti-gravity that makes it easier to swing around and makes it tougher? It literally seems to be able to shrug off any attack and also he was apparently a genius who invented space bridges.

Yooooo, the Blackout Hands rotate now? I preordered this kit and the netflix ultra magnus kit. Like others, I don't have/care for the Bumblebee parts.

I just picked up sentinel last night, and Blackout has been on my shelf for too long with useless hands.

I wonder what I'm gonna do with my shockwave labs hands now? They're still really awesome but these do just as much now that they rotate.

I pulled blackout off the shelf and got worried that I’d have to pop that fat ass wrist pin out. Looked back a few pages and it seems that you just leave the hand folded in and it tabs on. Great design.

You know what'd be awesome? If DNA Design did another Gear Master Accessories Series for Siege and Earthrise figures.

Not only gap-filling pieces, but also other stuff, like an IDW-styled head and drill hand for Impactor. I REALLY want to have Impactor, but my IDW-fixated mind won't let me be satisfied unless Impactor has his IDW head.

At the same time, I don't know if I want to shell out $100+ for him, an allegedly super fragile translucent Mirage, and a repaint of Cog with a different head...

I'd love to snag this, but only for the blackout hands. I have no need for the sentinel/bumblebee upgrades, as I don't have nor don't intend to grab those figures.
