Yeah, Arashi came with shoulder replacement parts for Susanoo. Funny thing though my Susanoo is a lot better toleranced than Arashi. And not triple (and eventually quadruple) dipping on the weathered versions.

 

Results may vary i guess. Tolerances sucked on both my figures. But to give credit to arashi, the new shoulder design is way more solid. But does DNA really expect me to triple dip after i got burnt twice by two flimpsy but incredibly good looking figures?? Yeah ok fine. I sold my susanoo, so if the price on this is right, i will consider this for the tank mode. That looks AMAZING

 

I'm actually thinking of getting this second version of Susanoo and trading in the original to my local TF store.

I have a feeling that Arashi will also be weathered as well sooner or later.

I do have a feeling that these were made out of leftovers. They probably took them apart and added the improved parts and weathering effects.

 

Cool. Might get this reissue if it's improved like I've read about Arashii.

 

Even if this was the same so-so quality as the initial release, $80 is well worth it. And this version has the added benefit of the weathering and improvements.

 

Yeah, gonna preorder for sure, just not from TFSource. Probably from a Chinese seller.

 

I don't know if I want this... but it's certainly easy on the eyes.

I keep waiting for DNA to make a new full bot. Admittedly DS01/02 are fiddly, but you can get some great poses out of them and they are rock steady stable once you get them into a pose.

 

Yeah I figure they made these from unsold stock. I was a bit sore that I missed out on the original when they dropped in price last year but for $80 I'll jump on this version.

Nope... The v.2 Susanoo doesn't come with the alternate face from TFSource's listing and on DNA's Designs Facebook page as well.

I'm sure that Tony will get have the listing for V.2 Susanoo eventually @divinecomedy.

 

Managed to grab the last one on TFsource. I’ve been going back and forth in this figure for years now and figured it’s time. Happy birthday me!

After it being stuck in limbo for a week and allegedly sent back to TFsource due to an address error. And also by chance I happened to check our old mailbox one last time (we just finished moving) he has arrived!

Seriously though, TFsource really helped out in locating this thing. And it was worth the wait!

I haven't shipped yet. Costs $60US to get the three things in my pile of loot down here...

 

I actually just recently got the weathered Susanoo in hand. It looks cool, and it's my first 3P figure.

BUT

My copy of the figure has a few issues. The first, the slider for the chest is scary tight. I plan to go in and sand it down a little, because my God is it horrifying. It feels like the lower leg armor was molded oddly, as the peg sits too high for the hole, although I may just not be looking at it right. The slots for the hands to hold the weapon are also too small, and it was a frightening thing trying to pull out the big sword (although I found that he can hold it just find without the assist, so yay. not sure about the other weapons, though).

All of those would be tolerable for me, but unfortunately, my copy has two right thigh pieces. I really hope this is just an unlucky draw, and I've already emailed TFSource if I can get a replacement. Otherwise, seems solid enough, even if there's a lot of moving... stuff.
