Well, this looks great. If only I could actually get my hands on an MPM-12. Thanks Target!

This looks like it\'s really good, but I do wish they improved the alt mode as well

Proportions are nearly 1 to 1 with the cgi model with this upgrade. Might actually pick the figure up just to get this kit for it. Depends on the price, if it's around $50 or less. They gave the figure whole new thighs, I do wish they had done a little transforming something with them to aid the alt mode truck bed. Also, DNA Designs! Change the alt mode stripe to silver to match the front of the truck! Anyone know how I can contact them directly?

No, but could be better. And now for $55 it is.

Okay $5 of what I was willing to pay not too bad I'll pre-order.

With all these massive overhaul kits coming out for this particular figure, could be. I still love mpm12 of course.

I don’t think it was bad but there seems to be a lot of compromise, probably due to budgetary constraints and toy regulations. In my opinion, the truck mode suffered the most.

Is the grill stripe fully silver? I thought it was just the corners of the piece. Like the the stripe is white with silver overspray

The stripe on the front doesn't match the stripe on the arms in the original release either.

Well, ideally we’d be getting an alt mode that on par with the bot mode.

But with this figure, that’s simply not the reality. So when your purchasing this figure it’s mainly for the bot mode.

Were I a 3P / ko producer, I’d take the best aspects from each BBOP that has been made and splice them all together to make 1 good figure.

As someone who doesn't own MPM-12 (yet? IDK), this kit seems essential... yet it also makes the total investment close to $200... I'm torn on whether I'll bite on the MPM-12 experience. This is a very good kit, though, as per usual with DNA.

That said... DNA, release the things you've announced already! Been waiting over a year for the DOTM Shocwkave kit.

While it does, that just makes up for the shortfall I mentioned earlier, and brings the overall design quality up to the standard "G1 Masterpiece" level, as opposed to the "handicapped" MPM $130 cut-off. Essentially.

Ironically it’s the thighs that make a lot of difference to me, the pieces that I initially thought were pointless! I knew the hands would make a big difference and obviously the cat ears, but the improved proportions are something I didn’t even know it needed and now I feel like they’re almost the most necessary!
Yeah this is a good way to think about it. Almost like a deluxe and standard version.
