I like the sword a lot, didnt have issues with mine aside from trimming a bit of flash. The back connector and hip things are fine as well. I didn't install the ratchets as I havent had any issues with the stock ones or anything. The hands are pretty nice, though here and there could have used tightening

As for the wings, I have the usual complaints with the mirroring and the stressed and ragged peices, plus some of the pins werent driven in enough and raked up the insides. I drove those in and cleaned up the exterior a bit, so it's kind of a live with it thing. I'd have preferred a bit smaller ones like many have noted.

So overall its worth it to me. I'm not really surprised by the iffy quality control or bad choices. After the very questionable engineering on the Devy Mixmaster cab I honestly dont expect much from DNA.

So, I ended up breaking the handle off the sword. It wasn't centered and I tried pulling it into place, breaking it. I'm definitely not as in love with the wings as I'd thought I'd be, so the only real positives here are the hands and the yellow guns. Oh well, $50 down the drain. I'll have to hunt down a different sword. Wonder how hard it would be to get that Hasbro Asia sword.

I believe it was actually a pen, rather than an actual sword. He can hold it, but it was more a novelty than anything else.

EDIT: Pen/sword...gimmick thing. Sword for POTP Predaking...

Aside from some paint scratches on one wing, mine is good. What are the ratchets for, extras?

To strengthen the combiner arms, the stock ratchets are super loose

So I finally got my kit today. Color me unimpressed. I got 2 right hands and the spine thing is assembled backwards. So when I plug it into razor claw its upside down. Sword is very heavy and he has issues holding it up.

I'd take that. I got 2 right hands.

Mine has no stress marks on the wings though.

BBTS sent me replacement parts and now everything is as it should be and I really like the set.

Just got this set delivered yesterday. I was lucky and got a well made one. Love the hands with the spiked fists, waist, and spine fillers.

I like the wings as I don't apply stickers to my figures so this gives me the gold on them the original didn't have. Not a fan off of the screws showing on one side though.

The sword I got had a couple of scratches on it but I'm just going to be hanging it from his back as an additional weapon. I don't do dynamic poses with my figures so that works out fine.

Really sad to see so many issues with this set. Still, if anyone wants to get rid of the sword or the waist filler parts, let me know. I think I could use them.

Shoot me a PM and we'll see what we can work out. Shipping to the US might be okay since I can't imagine that sword weighing that much.

Nice set, apart from the issues known and commented on, the looseness of the fingers and thumbs, the visible screw holes looking a bit cheap, slightly scuffed gold paint on his sword. I finally put him together with the all parts bar the one ratchet replacement on Rampage. Does really need two as the weight of the sword is super hefty. Didn't think I'd like the wings as much as I do, but looking at him put together they really do work in adding to his silhouette. So much so that it's easy to use the stock ones for Divebomb exclusively, whilst giving the big guy the regal capeywings when folded down at the back in non battle mode really do look the business. Spine filler and waist pieces are great solutions to his teenager skinny phase. All in all qc issues aside it's a worthy fix to make him possibly my favourite combiner so far and I love Abominus. 2019-06-26-02-58-23.jpg DSC_4007.JPG DSC_4008.JPG

Well after sitting on the fence over this for at least five months, I finally broke down and got it. I'm a little worries since it was kind of an impulse buy, and I'm really concerned it won't turn out well. But there's not much I can do now aside from wait and hope it turns out for the best.

I hope you enjoy it. I'm kind of on the fence too, this or the OS MMC one.... Or both and switch out the legs for the OS MMC ones.

...are the oversized feral rex connectors compatible with the original figures?..

...i think this kit goes a long way to remedy a rather juvenile design, but i wish the wings were at least 1/3 larger...

If it's any consolation, I got mine last week and it's perfect.
