The gun is nice though.

Because it's probably cheaper and considerd more legitimate to upgrade a figure than make a slightly remolded knockoff.

This looks pretty good.   It helps the mold be more accurate in size and look. I wish they could've found a way to place his cannon in alt mode in a more show accurate manner but still this is a nice upgrade set.

 

Ehh.....wished they kept along the lines of the first kit. I like the Renderform Galvatron kit better.

Kind of wished this popped up when it was a little more relevant (for me anyway)...

I consider my Prime collection complete at this point and really don't see myself spending any more to upgrade the figures.

Now had this been introduced early last year, probably would have been a different story.

In any case, it does look very well done.

 

I agree, it's preferable in my eyes to do an upgrade as you're still supporting Hasbro by buying the original toy - especially as most of us will own this guy by now, I'd wager. The upgrade is undoubtedly cheaper too.

I'd like to see if there is a "Prime Arm" in the kit, too. That'd persuade me to buy a kit if the price were right, along with an accessory-less Megatron to customise.

 

I'd love to see a 3rd party company tackle on a Voyager figure of the Unicron Megatron design from Predacons Rising. That hasn't had a proper toy in the TFP line so it would be neat if we can get that along with a Voyager Hardshell and an improved Airachnid figure.

 

They rebuilt his arms but did nothing about his feet? ;p

This seems completely pointless. I mean, it looks better, but not better enough that I'd pay the sort of price that this will go for. Then again, I feel like that about a lot of upgrade kits. They're just pricey add-ons. Some are worth it, but honestly, I don't think most are.

 

I'd be way more interested if it gave him a bicep swivel...

 

How about instead of new lower arms, we get entirely new arms that let him finally have a bicep swivel?

 

I can't possibly see this clogging up stockrooms and ending up in any etailers sale - a stunning effort that makes a world of difference to a figure people hold aloft in high regard.

 

All he needs is the gun. And he REALLY needs the gun.

 

Fakebusker's gun is cooler, but I like the foot upgrades. Boo to Megatron always needing these!

 

It seems that the swivels are now on top of the forearms.
