I’d be pissed if Hasbro had Hoist and Trailbreaker with exposed bot kibble while this release had it fixed.
Just means hasbro would re-release them in a two pack that’d be 10-20 dollars more than they'd be singularly is all.
I'd have been interested in this and the Lift-Ticket figure they did a while ago if they had given them their G1 toy heads. As it is, I don't really need any version of this mold as I don't really collect the Diaclone figure colors.
I must be the only one who prefers my historically straight repaints to stay historically straight repaints. This one I'm much happier with than Burn-Out, whom I feel is ruined by the Crosscut head.
Want. Love Diaclone homages. Got all so far and this will definitely be bought to be added to my collection.
You'd rather she had a cartoon skids head? either way it's inaccurate, but I get where you're coming from since they both shared the same toy head. I'm of the opinion that if they can't do them right then go with what I find to be the cooler option, worked for Burn-out and not so much with DK-3 here (though I'm not even sure if they could have used the Hoist head).
I passed on Trailbreaker so I got this, and... I guess I don't regret it. It looks like what I expected, don't like the Hoist mold too much but I liked the paint and stuff.
Yes, I would. Since cartoon accuracy is the name of the game with the Generations line currently I'd rather they simply repaint anything that wasn't a remold. However, I also am pissed that Smokescreen had a retooled head. I'm also one of those freakshows that think there should be no discernible mold differences between any of the non-Conehead Seekers.
I'm sure you're not the only one. But I personally prefer things to be based on the original source material. So even though most figures are based on their Sunbow design, I would prefer Diaclone repaints (or any G1 toy only characters) to have the vintage toy head. My dream repaint figures would be to get Earthrise Cliffjumper in yellow and Netflix Bumblebee in red. But for me, red Bumblebee has to have the vintage toy head.
I have to ask, what is the appeal behind Diaclone repaints? The majority of them are absolute nobodies that offer absolutely nothing besides a nice homage to pre-TF.
Well, that's part of it. They can be whoever you want them to be. They also make for nice alternate colors if you so desire.
That's precisely it. They're good filler characters for crowd shots, and for a lot of people, owning the "originals" and the characters they would become is appealing. Plus, a few of them have neat decos or also represent an SG character as well as a Diaclone character.
I intended to, just annoyed I have to. What I'll PROBABLY do is wait for them to do Reboost and hope like hell he has a Skids head, that way when I headswap it'll balance itself out. I'm saying they shouldn't even have different faceplates.
