So getting Transformer toys down here in Bolivia is pretty damn hard, but imagine my amazement when my friend tells me that one of the 3 stores that sell official Hasbro product (in VERY limited quantities and at a price a lot higher than the US, often $30-40 for a Deluxe) had got some new Transformers in for the first time in 3 months. "And they're not knockoffs?" I said. "Oh no," he said. "100% official Hasbro." "Sweet," I said, and I went down to the store. Lo and behold, new Transformers! A whole shelf of Animated Voyager Bulkhead and Animated Supreme Optimus Prime! Hooray! Wait... ANIMATED? Next time you guys complain about your Walmart sucking and only getting in new stuff every month, think about us poor bastards who get everything later, in lesser quantities and at a higher price!
Pretty much. I know other countries don't have half the mass amounts of food we do in the Us, but I still bitch if my steak in under cooked
$30-$40 for a deluxe? Damn buying 3rd party if you are overseas is like buying the real thing. And here I am pissed in Canada because we pay a little more than the States. That $30-$40 deluxe price really puts Hercules figures and iGears Ironhide and Ratchet into perspective....as in they don't seem to be that expensive anymore. I personally can not complain about distribution in Canada. Maybe once in a blue moon we lose the very last wave of a series but to date the only two figures I never found at retail are E. Energon Jetfire and E. Energon Cliffjumper aka Beachcomber. And I've been a hardcore collector since the beginning of BW.
