Hello there. Whenever I look in the collection showcase forum here, I've noticed that nobody hangs their flying Transformers!

I wonder if anybody has hung up their seeker jets, Jetfires, Swoops, sweeps, or any other flying Transformer.

I'm not talking about hanging any old Decepticon that can fly like Megatron and Soundwave. I'm talking about actual flying alt-modes.

When I get settled in to a place, I plan on displaying my 3 sets of Insecticon reissues as a swarm flying.

If anybody has any TF's hanging from the ceiling please post pictures. I've often thought about setting up a display scene much like the original G1 box drawings. You know, that space-battle scene on the back of the boxes?
I've imagined having like 7 Starscreams strung up in a row. Each one in a different stage of transformation giving the effect that it is the same one transforming from alt-mode to robot mode.
I'd also use the WST seeker jets to give the illusion that their further away.
I mean, why are all the collections I've seen, 98% of the Transformers are displayed in robot mode? Even I'm guilty of this in my collection. I just think it would be cool to see Jetfire strung up as if he was chasing Starscream or something.

How would you create laser fires and explosions to hang from the ceiling? I would use big amounts of cotton balls for smoke/fire. Any ideas?

I actually got a box of doll stands from grandmother and use them. They also alow you to make neat poses with figures like drift with his swords.

Some of the people here have hung their planet formers (Unicron, Primus, Death Star Vader) from their ceilings...I've wanted to get around to that one of these years, but I'm not sure if the effect would be worth the effort.

At one time I had a bunch of TF's hanging from the ceiling (along with some Gundams). These days it's pretty much all Star Wars ships and a Batwing.

This thread really makes me want to hang my Unicron from the ceiling. I think it'd look awesome.

if you hang them up with fishing line...be careful...there was a thread a while ago by someone who hung up their unicron in alt mode and it broke one night when the lines snapped and he hit the ground...

I had some of my flying tf's hung in the ceiling a couple of years ago and even tho none of
them come crashing down (thank goodness) I took them down partly for that reason, the
other was coz I didn't always dust or clean them, and they would get filthy after a while.
So just remember that if you decide to hang some up.Later.

Hanging something as large as Unicron or Primus would make me too nervous in my basement, b/c if he fell he'd hit the concrete floor. I only have my animated black arachnia hanging, and thats b/c she has a retractable thread already.
