If Will Smith is Genie, then does that mean he'll conjure up Jazzy Jeff to help him rap "You never had a friend like me"?
I've been wanting to ask this question for so long about Aladdin, but the answer I know is obvious. If you did enter the Cave of Wonders and you were told the same rule, "Touch nothing, but the Lamp", would you still try to take the treasure or stick with the Lamp? I know the answer would be mostly, with the Lamp you can wish for the Cave of Wonder's treasure to be your's or you can wish for all the treasure in the world.
Little Mix Jade Thirlwall in 'talks' to play Princess Jasmine in Aladdin remake Googling her... she's part Middle Eastern, she's a singer and she's a Disney fan. I think she can work.
Aladdin live action remake: Tom Hardy being considered for Jafar reinforces Hollywood's white-washing issue Tom Hardy would make a great Jafar, despite the above complaint. A young attractive Jafar sounds okay to me.
I'm just gonna take this with a grain of salt, becusce even though Tom Hardy is a good actor he's not a good pick for Jafar for obvious reasons.
But Jafar is the bad guy. Seems Hollywood would want to have the bad guy be white instead of portraying an Arabic guy as bad.
Eeh, how about "No". No, not because he's white, but because I don't see Hardy fitting for this role. Jafar needs someone like Alan Cumming or Tom Hiddleston if they want to replicate the animated Disney movie.
I'd say these two guys should be up for Jafar. Both have played bad guys in the past. Arnold Vosloo - played Zartan in Rise of Cobra Oded Fehr - played the lead guardian in the Mummy
Tom Hardy is a great actor and plays a great villain, but it's hard for me to see him as Jafar. Even look-wise, Jafar is tall and lanky, Tom isn't. I'd pick Jeff Goldblum for Jafar.
ALADDIN: Mena Massoud & Naomi Scott Will Play The Lead Roles, Will Smith Confirmed As Genie Well, the Pink Ranger is now a Princess. That's not horrible.
Good pick for Jasmine. She's now played two of my first crushes. I'm not too familiar with the actor for Aladdin. I'm not too keen on Will Smith as the Genie. I get that no one can replace or replicate Robin Williams in that role, but Will Smith is going to be very hit or miss with this. I'm leaning towards miss, but the guy has plenty of charisma, so I could be surprised
