That's silly... Disney already has a perfectly fine property they could develope. Such a waste. And, I was just recently thinking how awsome a Gargoyles movie would be.

    Dumb holes.

    This could've been super awesome.

But not being tied to the Gargoyles show = super letdown.

This is the second thing that came to my mind when I read the title, right after the thought of a new Gargoyles movie based off of the 90's show. Which would have been awesome, and definitely been nostalgic for me, as I grew up watching it (still have the movie w/game VHS somewhere).

Since it isn't connected to the show, or the comic, than the best I can hope for is a completely new idea with similar concepts. The gargoyles from HBoND are perfect as comic relief in a movie about something else, but I can't imagine a movie with them as the main characters being more than a silly and easily forgettable straight to DVD cartoon.

Lame, if it was based on the old show it would have ruled, they could have even had some of the voice actors do live action parts. You know Johnathan Frakes could still pull off a certain character.

So....its a Disney's movie called "Gargoyles" but it has nothing to do with Disney's "Gargoyles" cartoon? Why? I mean, they could easily do a movie about "Gargoyles", it was really a GREAT toon! In my opinion, the best toon i have seen from Disney. But ok. Its a shame thought.

Even if it was just a retelling of the pilot, I'd be up for it.

I'll back off for now, but if they screw this up, I'm sticking with Pixar.

So Gargoyles movie not about Gargoyles? Great idea Disney. They should make a Micky Mouse movie but not have Micky in it.

Speaking of Gargoyles, they never did release the entire series on DVD did they?

Disney doesn't like good stories. It makes the audience expect too much later.

Shame on you, OP for getting my hopes up for a Gargoyles movie.

Nope. We got season one and half of season two. Then squat. I have a deep dislike for Disney because of this, Transformers RID and what happened with Pixar. Hopefully, if this new Gargoyles film gets made, they will release the rest of the animated series on DVD. The animated show and the series have nothing to do with each other, but Disney might think that Gargoyles is Gargoyles.

This x 1000! I NEED the rest of season two and that awesome finale (Hunter's Moon). They can keep The Goliath Chronicles.

At least S.2, Vol.1 had "City of Stone" aka the greatest television ever written. Not just animated tv, tv period!

I'll add Duck Tales to that list. I was pissed when I bought the DVD's and the episodes were not even in chronological order. Just random.

I returned it. They said I couldn't because I opened it. I said I had to open it to see that episodes were not even in the correct order. You'd think that Volume ONE would also have episode ONE. I got my money back.

I loved Gargoyles, what a let down its nothing to do with the old cartoon. Oh well, as someone else said, hopefully this will bring about another DVD release.
