Before everyone starts bitching about "HURR DISNEEEEY!!!!" remember that your precious Avengers wouldn't be half as successful if it wasn't for all that Disney marketing money.

I had the feeling Indy would be owned by Disney after Star Wars was bought last year.

not surprised by this at all , like Kaijuguy said since Disney has been buying up successful franchises in the last few years it seems to have become their MO.

No surprise. Only makes sense, in fact, after the LucasFilm buyout.

I was under the impression that Disney already owned the rights to Jones, along with everything else Lucasfilm ever put out.

Just seems like a weird move.

    Paramount gets to keep:
    - the one great movie
    - the one good movie
    - the one halfway-decent movie
    - and the one not-so-great movie.

So what does Disney get? A bunch of future movies starring a man over 70 years old who can no longer run, jump, or throw a convincing punch?

Well Lucas said that his ideas for Indy 5 was to have Shia return as the main character, and Harrison would be like Connery in The Last Crusade, That would be a really great movie
If Shia hadnt turned into a jerk recently.... (major sigh)

Does this mean Shia Ledouche is going to become owned by Disney again?

Hey Grim and Yggg, you are right! Disney did great with Pixar (exception Cars 2), Muppets and Marvel and soon Indy and Star Wars.

Do you think Lucas screwed up both Indy and SW franchises? i mean too much control and he lost his touch, i mean come on George! Aliens rather than supernatural or mythological? survives a nuclear blast in a fridge? people swinging on CGI vines like tarzan? WTF!! now that Lucas is out of the picture maybe we'll get a film that ignores Kingdom and make it based on Fate of Atlantis.

I mean think of the possiblities of having a few more attractions at Disneyworld with SW plus new merchandise, new games, new novels etc. and who thinks it would be awesome to now have Indy and SW in Disney Infinity including Star Wars and Indiana Jones worlds in Kingdom Hearts?
