Started watching Prop Culture. Each episode has them finding props from movies. So far, seen episodes of Mary Poppins, Tron & now on Nightmare Before Christmas. Pretty interesting.

Prop Culture, you say? I love films props and the stories behind them. Is this like that other show that used to air, Hollywood Treasure?

I can't remember what Hollywood Treasure was like. For Mary Poppins, the host went to the Disney prop warehouse and was shown things like the merry-go-round horses & Mary's bag. He meets up with the film's dance choreographer and shows her one of the chimney sweep brooms. Costume designer is shown and has the little boy's suit & Mary's outfit when she first shows up. He meets up with the actress that played the little girl and has her dress & hat. Some of the matte paintings are shown & a few other things.

So its not just showing off the original props but you get to see people that were involved with the original production to get their views on the movie & their contribution.

Ah ok, I get it. Hollywood Treasure hunted down props from various collectors and they talked about the history of the prop. This sounds like they only talk to official production companies on said movies and talk to the people who possibly made them or who's involved.

In the Tron episode, they talked to a guy running an auction house that was putting one of the ball thrower arm things up for sale. They were doing some detective style work to figure out which actor had used it. Using the various markings and decorations on it. There might only be two in existence. Probably just depends on the movie. Maybe they do more in later episodes.

One moment it seems like they’re on top of the world and in a matter of weeks they’ve been brought to their knees...

I'd be curious how much all of their parks bring in annually and how much they've lost since they've all been shutdown.

At the rate they are going they won't be profitable till 2060. They basically borrowed all their profits for the last year.

Yeah, there was half a dozen spin-offs planned and we saw only one come to fruition in the SLG run, Bad Guys. I really think they had to be careful though as there was a lot of characters running around (climbing upwards of a thousand including all the different clans, the Illuminati, etc) and I would hate to see the show lose focus, especially with the original core cast. Hopefully all these articles I keep seeing cropping up might lead to something.

Bet you anything we'll see a rate increase soon. Not much, maybe a couple bucks, but enough to squeeze a little more money out of the service.
