So with the recent rumors of Disney buying Hasbro and Transformers, if they do in fact purchase the company do you think this could possibly guarantee the end of Michael Bay making Transformers after TF4 and maybe reboot?? Honestly I cannot see Disney affiliating themselves with the current directing style (balls, booty shots) of Bay.

nope it wont be the end of bay. as TF4 is already in work, TF4 will move on, if Disney ever gets involved it would be after TF4, (like in the MCU films they didnt got involved till after Cap America, their only involvement was releasing the soundtracks before they made avengers)

Disney would not give Bay the complete creative control Bay would require for a film. Armageddon was over a decade ago, and to my knowledge, Bay and Disney haven't worked together since. Likewise, Disney wouldn't put out movies like Battleship. Disney is a brand above everything else, and such low quality movies (from a story/acting perspective, not a budget/graphics perspective) are below it.

    LMAO @ ^^.

Um, you do realize that the whole reason (besides money) that Disney is buying other creative companies is because they can't compete as well any more (in film anyways)? Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, etc, are all bids to do good movies with certain demographics they really struggle with. And rather than micromanage (for example like with Pixar) the creators of the properties, they'd rather just hire/buy people who know their sh!t (or are at least box office hitters) and let them do their thing.

But for a lonnnng while there, Disney was (and in certain cases, STILL is) stinking it up and such low quality movies (that were expressly produced, written and made in house by Disney) are hardly the exception and was/is rather the rule.

My mistake on Armageddon with Disney, but point being what Michael Bay puts out today compared to Armageddon, it's a lot more perverted in a sense. I can't see Disney allowing his current directing style with transformers to be acceptional

Like stated above Bay is a very popular director because he stays under budget but most importantly can finish a film on time while still producing a profit. I would like to see him move off and a new director take over but I doubt it will happen. Hes got his claws dug in on Transformers.

QED. Especially given the Disney deal is literally just an unsubstantiated rumor at this point.

Even though Disney would own Transformers, I doubt you will see any Disney logos associated with the movies since they're distributed by Paramount, so the movies would probably not see much change.

Oh my god. These unsubstantiated Disney rumours are never gonna die are they?
Pointless speculation, I'm sorry. Wait until it is confirmed or denied because this is becoming the new "FE/price/size/MP Optimus/plastic wheels" of this forum. Its everywhere.

    :popcorn  this thread is awesome......

In the end there will be only 5 big companies that control the world.

Disney, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, and Ralph's Taco and Pizza Shack.
