I think they really need to slow down on Star Wars. I hate to sound too negative, but Star Wars is beginning to feel like a house guest that overstays their welcome. Fun to hang out with at first, but eventually you need a break. I feel like a lot of people are kind of fatigued on Star Wars after TROS. They should really just stick with the Mandalorian for a while and focus on making that great. But in the past few months we've heard about the Obi-Wan show, the Cassian show, a possible Ahsoka show, a possible Aphra show, a Rebels sequel, the newest Clone Wars season, the 2022 movie, all the High Republic stuff, and now this. I'm just all Star Warsed out. The brand could really use a recharge.

Star Wars is arguably my all-time favorite franchise, but it's starting to feel like the McDonalds or Wal-Mart of sci-fi. I mean, Star Wars has never been particularly highbrow, but it did have a sense of novelty that the average franchise lacked. I used to be a denier of "franchise fatigue", but I'm just not excited about this brand at the moment. All these announcements just feel like a growing pile. I mean, I know I'll love Season 2 of the Mandalorian, but I'd be a lot more excited for it if there weren't so many other projects in the pipeline. I guess it's weird to complain about getting too much of something I like, but I can only digest so much candy before it gets overwhelming.

I guess? This is one of those things that really isn't necessary. If this stars Dr. Aphra and a rag tag of say female bounty hunters, then maybe. If it's a show of nobodies then no one is going to really care, just like the Ahsoka eps.

They said the same thing about the shows involving Obi-Wan Kenobi, Cassian Andor, and even Ahsoka. Like them, I seriously it's ever actually going to happen.

Any Resistance-era show is going to be a failure one way or another. It's just a boring time period made by recycling what came before.
