    heh, right on. :thumbs2:

You know, with Disney at the helm, maybe they could steer Star Wars back to the era of the Original Trilogy.

The Prequels had their day in the sun, and left many people wanting...

I mean, we have to weigh which worse. Adding movies to the front end that lead to the OT, or continuing the OT that already had the perfect ending.

I just pictured a DC Universe-style Star Wars toyline.

    I like it.

What the hell is with people clamoring for book series to be adapted. Ok, so Jackson prooved you can take one of the biggest iconic literature fantasy series in the past century and make a lucrative film series out of it, if willing to cut corners in order to accomodate the story and not just the fans.

However I fail to understand why you'd want something you read in the distant past adapted into a new trilogy. That would be just as boring as the 3D re-release of TPM was for me. I've seen it before, I've done that, I want something new I mean for christs' sake what works well in a book does not automatically = a big screen success.

Forget big screen adaptations of those damn novels, give us something beyond what we are expecting, proove that creativity and originality can still co-exist in these days of re-hash after re-boot after re-make. Show us the way and guide us to the Force, don't just pander to the lowest common denominator. And let's face it, we as fans do = the lowest common denominator, right next to the sprawling masses of the public who just want Baysplosion after Baysplosion in their film franchises.

Better than current Star Wars toys, aside from TVC. (Which, y'know, no one can find.)

Why are the prequels so infamously bad? I'm pretty sure JJ Binks is NOT the only reason to bash the pit out of them.

For the record, I was planning to see Episode I when it came to our theaters but my dad didn't take me.

And whose fault is that? Are we going to place all of the blame on Hasbro just because? Or are we going to actually realize, logically, that the real issue with distribution of figures also rests squarely in the hands of Dumb-Arse Retailers! who blew all of this year's toy budget buying up case after case of TVC wave one all because of some shitty re-release in theatres that was? What? Only around for less than a month? Oh Yes I am soooooooo suuuuuure that toys will fly off shelves because kids will be seeing this film again.

To steal part of a quote from Shockwave, Logic Dictates that Hasbro alone has not failed. The Retailers and the Economic Downturn have partial culpability in this problematic development. I fail to see how Mattel could improve upon this, I mean it's been just as hard to find toys from them at Retail as it has Hasbro brands.

Natalie Portman was horrendous most of the time and I didn't like Hayden Christensen's acting. He was better in EPIII but overall, did not like. I have heard that it was because of Lucas only doing one take then moving on to the special effects, but overall acting was not that good. That's my main gripe with the newer films. There was some not so good acting in the original trilogy too, but it seems like there was a lot more good acting than bad. I grew up on the OT though so it may be partly nostalgia. They do have their good aspects (including some top notch lightsaber dueling and Christopher Lee), but I just don't like them anywhere near as much as the OT.

If they do, it can't get any worse than Indy 4.

Distribution may not be Hasbro's fault, but the shitty articulation and sculpting is.

Damn, Disney's going to own damn near everything, at this rate. Not sure what this is going to change, though. It's not like Star Wars isn't an over-exposed, over-hyped, over-rated merchandising vehicle as it is.

Oh God, I can't wait to savor the sweet, nourishing nerdrage that is going sweep over the internet when/if this movie comes out. I'll to have to buy a swimming pool just so that I can fill it with the fanboy tears and spend the rest of my days bathing in the pure, concentrated neckbeard sadness. This is going to be epic.
