Let me guess. Its gonna be super edited right? Cause even that show had some "not safe for american TV" moments.
They've already edited it to get rid of anything that has to do with everyday life in Japan and replace it with more American stuff. Like changing ramen to pancakes or a first aid kit to a pizza. Because kids will obviously get culture shock if they left things as is.

You know the ironic thing about this change? Disney said they're editing junk food to encourage healthy meals. Well obviously, pizza is considered "healthy" according to Disney.
That's exactly what makes that change so baffling. "Oh shoot, I cut myself. Better eat a whole fucking pizza pie."
It's a shame that we still live in an age of 4Kids-esque localization. I'm interested in seeing who they cast in the dub. I'd like to suggest Brian Beacock (Monokuma, Dangan Ranpa) as Doraemon.

Holy Hell! O_O why would they do that to their own work? Wait so if Disney/Viz didn't have to work with these edits they wouldn't want them? Am I supposed to be afraid or am I supposed to accept this since the creators are cool with it.
They talked about this on the anime news forums and they said more or less they want this show a hit and will do what it takes for it to be a hit. In other words they are self edited it so american kids will like it. We all hate it but what can we do when the owners themselfs are doing it.
Also to be fair, we aren't anywhere near the target demographic, and small children probably wouldn't get the really Japanese stuff.
Just saw the first episode on disney XD. Not bad. norbita's english voice is annoying however. Not as "little kid" like as we were told. (he even loses his shorts!) Still there are edits (like the sand castle scene). Still not bad. I'm shocked how little they are promoting this. 7D gets ads all the time but i have not seen much ads for doraemon.
I Finally Had a Chance to see an Episode today, and I Have to say is. I Hate It. Yes, I Freaking hate this Show. Sucks to see Brian Beacock & Johnny Yong Bosch appear in this shit.
