Live-Action SNOW QUEEN Movie Reportedly In Development At Disney

"Disney Studios is in the early stages of developing a live-action adaptation of Han Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen. Details regarding casting and what direction the film will head in have not been revealed, but the plan is for it to receive a threatrical release rather than heading straight to Disney+.

This won't be Disney's first adaptation of the story as both Frozen movies are loosely based on the author's concepts.


I hope it involves the brother and sister, and is not a live-action Frozen.

 

Well that will be rather confusing...

 

Well at the very least this will give the people who want a more closer telling of the original Snow Queen story what they wanted.

 

Frozen was gonna be that originally, until Elsa's role was expanded and changed.

 

I know. Which is why I said that the people who wanted a more faithful adaptation of the Snow Queen will now likely get it in this new movie this time.

 

Go for it Disney, but beware, you have a long way to go, in order to compete with the long time reigning champion.

But, I do hope you do well with this version. I look forward to it.

Uhh yeah, I thought they already did that. Very, VERY loosely. So loosely in fact that I wouldn't have known it, if others hadn't pointed it out.


I used to read that book. Its good, but it dragged on way too long.
