Was gonna say that... (for some reason my post about Mars and Munchos has been deleted since the forum upgrade, but realized both are still around in Canada)

    Oh, and Crystal Pepsi

Smart & Final sells Munchos. My wife and I went into one for the first time last week and were pleasantly surprised. They used to sell them at Food For Less and Food Maxx, but they have since vanished.

So many great products from years past: the Schwinn stingray:cool: , magic middles cookies:confused: , o'boisies potato chips:eek: .. sizzleano_O
But what ever happened to Mercurochrome? No it wasn't an awesome toy or BMX bike as it's name might imply. it was a wound dressing!
You see when I was a little boy and would cut my finger on the hard plastic corner of my blocky G1 Transformer my father would take me by the hand to our medicine cabinet for a little dab of mercurochrome. I may have been sobbing or crying because of the cut but as soon as I saw that little red bottle you'd think the ol' man was about to chop said hand off! I'd go berserk with fear, screaming, kicking and crying begging please, please no! The stuff didn't sting it was painless.. but it smelled funny and kinda looked like orange blood. Those were the days eh?

Effectively banned in 1998 due to mercury content.

    Only in some countries tho:
Merbromin (marketed as Mercurochrome, Merbromine, Sodium mercurescein, Asceptichrome, Supercrome, Brocasept and Cinfacromin) is a topical antiseptic used for minor cuts and scrapes. Merbromin is an organomercuric disodium salt compound and a fluorescein. It is readily available in most countries but, because of its mercury content, it is no longer sold in Switzerland, France, Germany, and the United States.

I was actually able to buy it off the shelf in Mexico a few years ago, not sure if they would still have it now, but it was clear not orange... just wasn't the same. :lol

Yup, my dad used it as a antiseptic many years ago... think Canada also banned that

    Animal crackers.

It's not an specific brand or anything, but after a certain point animal crackers completely dissapeared from this country, haven't had one in well over a decade.

I could have sworn I see animal crackers at the Dollar Stores (any) usually with the other candies/snacks that are not found in the big box stores anymore. May not be the same little 'Circus animal boxcar' like the 'old' days, but I've seen them in regular boxes and baggies I'm sure.

Yep, just checked Nabisco still makes them, even added a few new animals and they still use the circus boxcar.

My local Woolworths used to sell this really, really awesome curry mix. It was just a generic name, Singapore Curry, but it was tastier than any curry made from a boxed mix had any right to be. I did consider buying direct from the supplier but I think they only did orders big enough for supermarkets.

    Bonkers candy.
Not only was it yummy, it needs to come back just because the commercials were so memorable.

    Bonkers candy - Wikipedia

It's funny to see so many votes for Crystal Pepsi, I tried it and it tasted horrible.
