Just like the title says if there was a battle of the 5 Dinobots VS any 5 Seekers who wins?

Cast your vote now and please explain why.

I'd have to say I have a hard time choosing a winner. My vote to the dinobots but, not by much. With the dinobots you have a team that is strong enough to take down a combiner.

What do you think? Let the debate begin.

Dinobots, no contest. I think the only one they would have a problem with is Skywarp, but if it's 5 on 5 then leave him out.

Dinobots, they have size, power and defense on their side.
The Seekers have speed, Firepower and intelligence, but as G1 Decepticons, they're too stupid to use those things.

It would be one of the most one sided fights in history.

If you're using the whole Dinobots team, I think it's fair to use the whole Seekers team. Hell, they usually fight against all 6 Constructicons, why not all six Seekers? Still, I think the Dinobots win.

Dinobots... I've always seem them as the slow, stupid shocktroopers of the Autobot force... they've got the firepower and durability to whittle down the Seekers even if they can fly...

    You know what.

Grimlock alone could take on 5 seekers.

    Dinobots.
They can beat Devastator, why not the dudes that would probably run from Devastator?

Dinobots. In season 1 and two the only things they got defated by were a) Devastator b) a Cheap shot from Megatron c) the sheer numbers of Shockwave's drones. Six (or seven, if you want to throw in Sunstorm for fun) jets won't really be a huge problem for them. Now if all the no-named background seekers joined in, then the Dinos would probably be overwhelmed.

    Dinobots. No question.

That's like matching the Seekers versus the Mini-bots. It's not fair.

    I'm with this guy! :)

But seriously, are we talking Cartoon Dinos or Comic/everything-else Dinos? In the cartoon they were dim and slow, but pretty much unstoppable.

In the comics, they're a little more down to earth. My first instinct would be to give it to the Dinos in either case...

HOWEVER, I don't think it'd be easy. If the Seekers transformed into robots and landed to engage the Dinos in fisticuffs, that would be pretty damn stupid.

But in an "open desert plain" theatre (so popular in the G1 cartoon), it would be a much different battle. I believe any Seeker is the equal to Swoop in the air, and any other Dino would probably get knocked back to earth as soon as he tried to get airborne to engage the Seekers.

I imagine the Seekers would use their air superiority to pummel the Dinos on the ground at high speeds. The Dinos aren't slouches in the firepower department though... they'd shoot back (and maybe even hit occasionally). The Seekers on the other hand would probably hit the Dinos square on every pass. I think Ramjet would probably cash out early though because he'd be dumb enough to try to ram a Dinobot. :)

It would be a weird sort of "tough ground troops vs fast air troops" endurance match to see who could hold out longer. I mean, I suppose it's possible that after a dozen or so air barrages, null rays, sonic booms, etc... the Dinos might just get worn down.

Okay so what subfaction - Autobots or Decepticons - would have a possibility of defeating the Dinobots?

None, the Dinobots were only beaten when the script called for it in order to help the story.

I think Trypticon would be the closest Decepticon with a chance of defeating the Dinobots, but I doubt even he could do it.

The Dinobots are the ultimate TF god-moders.

Deffinately Dinobots. The only one's that would give them trouble are Skywarp and Ramjet, and once those two are done pansy-ass Screamer is going to be on his knees begging in that girly voice of his.

Now honestly, I don't think there's a way Trypticon could be taken down by the Dinobots. Trypticon may be slow, but I think he'd be able to take them down one by one. Hel, Devastator took most of them down in a row in the movie and Trypticon has to be a whole hell of a lot more powerful than he is. I think the Terrorcons might have a chance at it since they have monsterous beast modes, though I do wonder about the size differences.

Comic dinobots kicked Trypticons tail-pipe six ways till Sunday. Apart from swoop, none of them took any damage either.

They did? Which issue was it? I have to check that out.

I think the Original Predacons would have a fair chance against the Dinobots. Anyway takers?

Comic Trypticon also wasn't the size of a city.
