Ok hear me out. Since we didn't get a really descriptive explanation as to why the dinobots were... Well dinobots, well I have a theory. So the knights landed on earth as they were crusaders, they scanned dinosaurs as there were no machines back then so they had to scan organic life, the dinosaurs. Then the creators start showing up and begin to cyber form earth, and the dinobots tried to stop them. They failed, and were captured. For years they remained prisoner, until years later the creators hired lockdown to hunt and capture optimus prime, as early payment, they gave lockdown the dinobots, which explains why they were in his posession. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense but I'm just trying to find some explanation about the dinobots past
Prisoner for 65 million years? No, from dialogue the Dinobots are the Knights and it took Lockdown centuries to catch them. Optimus is the last Knight and the creators all placed a bounty on them. Lockdown calls them Rebels so it is likely the Dinobots were part of an early rebellion against the Creators.
They scanned dinosaurs and forever lost their voicebox, and can only grunts and roars even in robot mode.
But why? They are giant metal robots with weapons, why would they disguise themselves as dinosaurs? To hide from them? But i'm pretty sure dinosaurs were not sentient and had no guns. Moreover, they were a bit smaller then these huge badass knights, so there was no reason for crusaders to "scan organic life". Unless they were given their altforms by the Creators but i have no idea why would they do that instead of turning their troops to cool jets for example.
Gladiatorial combat comes to mind if the Creators were as much jerks as the Quintessons. I can see them pitted against the likes of the Driller.
I'd love it if predaking and minions come in for TF5, and we find out they work for Lockdown(and creators)! That will explain how they captured Grimlock and co
Does this mean all the Primes are knights? Is Sentinel Prime a Knight? Perhaps the Quints never gave the Dinobots voice boxes? If they're so barbaric and good combatants perhaps they were for the Quints entertainmint in gladiatorial pits! Like RedWolf said!
Apparently Optimus is the Last Descendant of the Primes, now he is the Last Cybertronian Knight. Optimus goes around signing up for fancy messiah prophecies in Cybertron for some reason. The Knights are probably an Order while The Primes are a class of early Non Biological Extra-Terrestrials.
People put way to much thought into this. It is a movie about giant alien robots. Use your imagination. How about, while traveling the universe, the Knights came apon earth and thought the Dino's were badass so took that form? Just use your imagination, that is what makes movies like this fun. Not EVERY detail about EVERYTHING needs to be explained, unless you want a 8 hour movie.
NO, A 45 minute long TV series with 10 episodes continuing Age of Extinction while Michael Bay directing with FAN-SERVICE! (Need Bad CGI and Shitty Actors to lower budget.) But Make it happen.
I have a question about the Legendary Warriors in general. Lockdown's ship was apparently one of many ships that even Prime had operated or been on before, because Lockdown tells Prime that he used to be on a ship like that but Lockdown had been on it for so long, it felt like a prison to him. So, this leads me to believe Lockdown has been after these Legendary Warriors for a very long time, which could explain why 4 of them happen to be Dinobots. My question is, when Optimus and crew steal the smaller ship, which Lockdown calls his Trophy Case, it supposedly had all of the LW on it. When I watched AOE a second time, I counted I believe 9 swords in the middle of the trophy room. Were there more Legendary Warriors? If so where did they go and why?
What Lockdown told Prime was that the ship is now functioning as a prison. I doubt that LW had all those cages and trash mini-drillers before Lockdown commandeered the ship. They might already met their Creators. Or those swords are just random loot that Lockdown collected during his quest.
I think they really are thinking this new trilogy through, thoroughly. I believe they didn't explain any of this for a reason. No doubt are the Dinobots returning in TF5 because they touch on the story too well, same as Optimus blasting into space. Bay is building up for something major.....
