Ugh, no thanks. So glad they DID NOT use them in TF:AoE for comic relief. The only comedy that should involve the dinobots is the Schadenfreude of watching them slaughter Decepticons with MAXIMUM mechagore and MINIMUM mercy. \m/
Lol no that wouldn't work. They are legendary warriors in the movies. Although I would like to see a scene along the lines of Grimlock speaking at a crucial moment late in the film followed by Crosshairs saying, "You guys can talk!?"
I agree fully. I am rather glad we did not hear a "Me Grimlock" in the last film. I do hope they talk sooner or later. I think it would be neat if they are capable of learning languages, but it takes them more time than typical Autobots. Having said that, it is pretty cool/funny when Slug gets his brow horns stuck in the ground after getting released from the magnet and pulls out huge chunks of earth.
Yeah, i think Dinobots have always been a source of humour in each incarnation, and each worked in their own way. But MV Dinobots should probably just play on their size and weight and fierce sense of honour as a subtle source of humour, i think it would be strange now if they were to be all slapstick and fart jokes. I know subtle isn't what these movies are know for. I'm kinda hoping the Dinobots had some kind of voice restriction input in them by lockdown.
Well I learned a word! Pretty relevant one in this day and age too! I also learned you can highlight parts of a message to only quote that part! That is fucking useful!
Nah if anything I bet they'll be a lot more like their original bios along with the Marvel/IDW comics and FOC version where they're more like barbarian warriors fighting for what's right which makes a lot more sense for the movie version of the Dinobots especially with Grimlock.
Such a fantastic word...and OF COURSE it's German, lol. Still, I was fucking SHOCKED to discover it's actually in my $30 Microsoft burner cellphone's knockoff autocorrect. O_O
Not if it's anything like the usual humor associated with the Dinobots. I've never found extremely stupid characters funny. Not outside of comedies with professional comedy writers, at least.
Slug was kind of comical in his dino mode, in a cute way, but I don't think they should be relegated to comic relief. Hopefully they'll have a chance to shine a bit more in both modes this time.
No, they're not comic characters, their appearance in the final of AOE makes an atmosphere even more mystical and visceral, I think Cade and co will asking their help against Megatron and we'll learn about Knighthood a bit more from them
I don't think comic relief would be fitting for them in the films, but speaking voices would be nice. At least Grimlock.
No. Let's hope they actually talk in this film-and as much as I once liked Gregg Berger's Grimlock voice in G1, let's hope the movie ones don't talk like that.
