I'm also in the anti-Dinobot combiner group, but I tip my hat to F_R because he took a shaky concept and made it work. Spurt Reynolds did the same with his Animated Dinotitan last year. I've been following F_R's work for the last 2 years and I've seen a number of combiners from him. This particular one is actually a marked improvement over some of the others he has done in that he found a use for all of the extra parts. He's also a Headmaster (Wheelie forms his head), which is a very creative take on the concept. I hope aprim posts pics of the other modes. You'll have to check the thread in the Radicons forum to see what I'm talking about. You might appreciate it a little more. And if not, you can always throw your hat in the ring and try making one yourself. This isn't meant as an insult, but I want to see more and more fans get into customizing so they can create the characters that we'll most likely never see from Hasbro/Takara. If you feel that a kibble-free and self-contained combiner can be created, then by all means give it a try.
Oh, I think you misunderstood me. I am in complete awe of this. but the custom combiners that mostly just toss transformers only a mostly complete bigger robot just aren't my thing. I know kibble is pretty neccesary for customs, I just don't like it when the kibble basically takes the form of a complete robot. I like seeing a bot turn into the entire arm, the entire body, stuff like that. not just plugging onto an arm.
Oh, I don't think I misunderstood you at all. I know that you're in awe of the workmanship that went into this despite this style of combiner isn't your thing. I was just trying to encourage you to try it yourself.
Yeah can we see some pics of that Bludgeon, he looks SICK! Also if you don't mind, how much did these cost you? I'm interested in having a custom done for myself but I don't really no what kind of prices customizers charge
I made the bludgeon and glavatron. But if your taking combiner anywhere from 1000 to 3500 maybe more.
Considering the fact that I don't own any of the toys showns in the picture, I think it must be around 1/2 above a supreme sized toy. How big is he next to a normal supreme? Or any other size class?
