These characters were already made and are in the game. They're your co-op buddies when you play as Grimlock. They weren't made exclusively for multiplayer, they were made for the story.

It will most likely be 800 Microsoft points ($10) on Xbox live

 

I was speaking more in general but I guess there had to be some work done to make these models fit into multiplayer though. Still, while pretty cool, not a great value, IMO.

 

I love HMS. Got money saved up for the dlc

If you look at the preset characters, Kickback and Sharpshot are listed as Scientists. I wonder what Hardshell will be? 

 

There is a animated rig (Basically like a skeleton which is used to program which limbs and body parts go where during animations) which is used for every character in multiplayer and in the game.

As FoC has such a complex system on how characters are built with them having different heads, arms, legs etc full "skins" are hard to explain.
But basically what people mean by a skin is a textured model rather than just the texture itself.

Either way, Dinobot's are pretty meh for me at the moment, especially if they're gonna want £8-10 out of me for 'em.
Throw in another 2-3 characters or a map/escalation stage and that would make it a bit more worth it.

Get ready for 9-10 Grimlocks in each multiplayer match. I really don't see how this is going to work other than having a special Dinobot-only MP mode.

 

Hardshell is titan or destroyer if I remember correctly. HM4 keep up the good work
