So as you all know about the TRU pre-order fiasco... my question to you all is this: do I keep my pre-order or cancel? I scored MP OP yesterday for $119 retail, $130 out the door. Take a loss and cancel or hold on to it and maybe try to price adjust when/if it ships?

Edit: Jus a little irked that some members got theirs for $80 w/ the TRU discount, not at them but at TRU. Seems like TRU held out on them until the discount expired or whatever and now all of a sudden they're readily available from what I noticed.

What does it hurt to keep the pre-order? TRU receipts are good for 90 days. You can always return it.

Up to you if the time to return it is worth it if your preorder does come in. I got one today and had a $10 off coupon, so the $10 difference wasn't really worth it for me to wait on a second one to be delivered if it does come in. $20 and I could go either way on this one. The nice thing, if you do do the return when it arrives, you may be helping a local collector (or kid, or scalper) obtain it.

Not that I carry a CC balance, but I don't really like racking my CC up with unnecessary charges, so that also factored into my decision.

Ohhh, wasn't aware of that. Answers that question, once I get my pre-order i'll use those to return for the ones I purchased yesterday. Thanks, I jus felt cheated.

i do think its very messed up and greedy of TRU to hold out on preorders for 100, jack up the price in stores and make online preorders wait until they squeeze as much money as possible. For a product that will sell like hotcakes anyways....

Weigh time, gas and energy required for return against whatever possible financial gain you stand to earn.

Yep, I think a $50ish difference is justifiable for me.

For $50, I would totally do it. For $15-20, its not worth my time/energy.

Although its worth noting that my only TRU is 45 mins away, and I'm lazy.

If your preorder manages to go through and you don't want a second one for yourself, put it up for sale here. It won't take long to sell. Besides, you'll be helping out a board member by making it available to them.

I'd hold onto the preorder and price adjust, but that's just me.

Keep the pre-order. It should be very easy to sell, if not just return it.
