Although I'm sure it wont be even half as annoying as fans who refer to other fans as "fans".
That's a good point. I also just remembered that a stylized CGI direction has been suggested by fans for the franchise before...I don't remember who, sadly, but I read a really cool idea that used the Pixar film The Incredibles as a model for the tone and style.
Maybe this is something like that. Since Orci and Kurtzman are involved it will still be movieverse (ish?) one way or another, but it can't have the same PG-13 humor and sexual content if it's going to accomplish its marketing mission anyway.
What a silly thing to be annoyed by. Par for the course I suppose.
Not half as silly as fans who refer to other fans as "fans".
You guys are such annoying "fans"!
You got something to discuss with Friends Against Non-rational Support?
Transformers nominatim est non perfectus nominatim
I was wondering.
When will we get some real meaty info about this y'know? Booty-con maybe?
So, instead of more Animated ( A decent universe with plenty of potential for more stories), we're getting Movie Universe Number 2. I can barely contain my goddamn excitement.
Still, the toddlers loved Movie Bee, so it's bound to sell better than Animated did.
I guess the usual, shown at botcon but no pics, then comic con with pics allowed
Sounds like a crappy take on a crappy style. I'm disliking this more and more.
Considering the information Hasbro put about the new GI Joe cartoon at Joe Con this year I'm sure that lots of information will be coming to Bot Con. Really not a bad extra to attending Bot Con for the fans that can make it.
I really don't see anything "Animated" about that little pic of Bumblebee. Is it possible the translation is a little messed up? Are they maybe saying this will look like the movie if it was a cartoon? and not really a combo of movie and the series, Animated?
The original text is only a few lines and not much room to mess up actually What's in the first post is a direct translation (as always sorry if the English doesn't sound smooth) and there's no way of knowing the exact context of the comment.
Wasn't trying to challenge your translating skills just trying to make sense of this.
Note the shape of BB's forearm - its stylized angles, distilling the complex shapes like DJW did in Animated. Also note the caricatured, heroic v-shaped chest. The door wings are very angular stylized too. This is a cartoony take on the movieverse aesthetic. Taking that complexity, making it appealing and easy to read. It's not literally animated style, but it's caricatured CG ala The Incredibles, (Bruce Timm's aesthetic for original Batman Animated) - even Star Wars Clone Wars is a reference point - though I don't like that so much.
I need to see the art style of the humans, the vehicle modes and more characters, Like Starscream and Megatron.
Will the show at least have a freaking sense of humor? I don't need no super-gritty SUPER-SRS show with a bunch of posturing like WFC is. Jeff Kline's past shows have had a sense of humor, but he hasn't worked in boy's action animation in eight years.
Well but the stuff that he did work on he worked on for a ALOT of time, no way dude would lose the touch so easily.
He might not have to, he's the producer, not the story editor.
The fact that one of the main characters is a 'general' has me feeling icky. Military and Transformers has never been a good mix.
Even as often as it happens, I'm still amazed by some fans' capacity to jump from zero to RAGE!!! and/or judge an entire series/line from a tiny preview image or a single vaguely-worded sentence.
"The words 'animated' and 'movie' appeared in the same sentence! KILL!!"
