just wondering if anyone has checked this out yet, first episode premeired last night on crunchyroll and i honestly thought it was pretty good.
I did! I thought it was pretty fun! I am glad that they didnt reuse any of the classics Digimon songs. I mean, I love them but come on! XD
same, though i do expect brave heart to pop up at least once for an important/nostalgic scene. i think its off to a great start and can definitely see some cues its taking from previous seasons and games and really interested in the apparent slow burn of introducing the kids. hopefully it means there will be some good character development and that this season is plotted out better than the original (i love the original, but lets face it, it doesn't really feel planned out with the story arcs and how they interact within the story)
WAY TOO FAST! xD Spoiler 2 episodes and we already got Omegamon! Not that I am complaining, its cool to see him but its a bit early. I mean, we skipped the entire likes of Agumon and Gabumon. I do hope we get to know human and digimon better in the upcoming episodes.
Mildly agree, but it also seemed like a special circumstances kind of thing and with Greymon and garurumon seemingly knowing each other already I’m going to assume that it’ll be expanded on in back story. I won’t say it’s too early unless it starts getting spammed/is super easy to achieve on a regular basis
The this new show reminds a lot the original one. But i wish could be in western tv channels like the original adventure.
Could be cool if some kid channel broadcast like the old fox kids did. I hope restart adventure 02 as well.
I’d rather they take their time first and not go for any sudden time jumps, one of the best things about this reboot is that there is 20 years worth of Digimon that they can learn from
I'm enjoying the series so far. Spoiler It was a nice surprise to see Omnimon already. Curious to see how this early appearance will play into the overall story, since they really haven't even introduced all of the characters yet.
season1 kids, but an entirely new unreleated story (think marvel 616 compared to the ultimate universe). the original took place in 1999, this one is in 2020
not really because its not a 1:1 remake, a reboot is a new story (which this is). so far its 2 episodes in and only 3 kids have digivices with only 2 having partners so far
and? thats because its using the same characters but in a new universe. think of it this way, is the amazing spiderman (the andrew garfield movie) a remake of spiderman (the tobey maguire movie)? i mean spiderman looks the same and theyre both peter parker. no, its a reboot that uses the same characters but in a different story universe. its also like the old v tamer manga for digimon where tai was the main character but it was not the same tai as the anime (despite looking like him), v tamer tai had a veedramon as his partner not agumon
I do hope the Digital World becomes more varied. It's only two episodes in so it's not that big a deal, but so far all we've seen is the internet. With how vibrant and interesting a lot of the environments of previous versions of the Digital World were, I really do hope that's not abandoned in favor of the (admittedly interesting looking) digiscape of the internet shown here.
episode 3 is titled "and to the digital world" so i expect that the net and the digital world are distinct environments and that before long the digital world will get featured more. its definitely taking some cues from the cyber sleuth games in its depiction of the net
well episode 3 has arrived, its a bit of a transitionary episode, but the story went pretty quickly. we get glimpses of 2 more of the core kids and im really enjoying the pace of the series so far, really glad they are taking their time introducing things
