I didn't know where to go so I thought this would be the best way. I want to learn how to digibash pictures. I have downloaded GIMP, but have no idea how to use it and have no knowledge about programs like it and Photoshop. Where is the best place to start? Any advice at all would be helpful.

Many of these programs have built in tutorials. Photoshop has a robust one, more than you will ever need, but all the information is related to what you want to do. I think taking the time to go through them sequentially is way more efficient than getting bits and pieces from other users.
