I came close I had bleeding ulcers in my stomach from taking asprin after stomach surgry. My docter did not tell me not to take asprine and I suffer sometimes from mild migrans so that is what I was used to taking. Needless to say Loosing like 1/2 the blood in your body can make you really really close to dieing. I spent 3 days in ICU and had like 9 blood transfusions. I was not a fun time let me tell you.
i have actually died 2-3 times during the first month of my life according to my parents, i was luckily brought back to life each time
I once rolled a toboggan made out of a slab of concrete going down a solid hill of ice going 60km/hr. Don't know if this counts though, since we had crash helmets and the finest rollcage available to drunken undergrads with donated aircraft-grade aluminum doing their own welding.
My dad occasionally tells me about how I choked on a penny when I was 2. Then when I was 7, I choked on a Hi-C fruit snack because, me being the dumbass that I am, tipped my head back while it was in my mouth. Annnd, I thought I was gonna die at the public pool because I choked on water to the point of turning blue. Asphyxiation is a living, breathing thing, and it's out to get me.
... That's called an umbilical cord, kiddo. I've passed out after witnessing a cat be spayed. And my mom has expressed a desire to strangle me on several occasions. Other than that, I'm doing pretty well.
When you start thinking you're immortal and nothing can touch you - that's the day you're proven wrong.
according to my parents I almost died when I had my first Asthma attack when I was little, I was barely getting any air and my veins had started to collapse because of it
When I was five I was nearly sucked out to sea by the undertow. It was like being dragged along the bottom by dozens of hands, and I was choking on sand and water. Thankfully, my mother flew over the beach to me and scooped me out of the surf. I was spitting out sand for hours afterward, but happy to be alive. When I was 11, we had pulled too far up on a railroad crossing in our Caravan. I was distracted by a billboard of the new (in 1998) beetle and pointed it out to my mother. It just so happens that a train was coming from the same direction as the billboard. She saw it, and reversed as quickly and calmly as she could. The only damage we sustained was that the crossing gate came down over the hood and bent the radio antenna forward.
