i remember clearly some people thinking that they thought the title of ROTF meant the revenge of the fallen cons, so i wanted to make this thread for see at first WHAT you guys thought the title of both ROTF and DOTM meant, only to found out you was wrong? The titles never mislead me as i most of times do not make quick conclusions or specualte i rather wait.
I did also, at first i thought that the only clip were the fallen apears in the trailers was cyclonus As for dotm, nothing confusing there.
I thought that Revenge of the Fallen meant Revenge of Galvatron (somewhat right). I didn't think that the main villain's name would have actually been The Fallen. Dark of the Moon wasn't misleading though.
No offence but how is that somewhat right? lol 2 completely different characters. Only thing that's somewhat right would be the Revenge part
It was a title that was like a quadruple meaning. For The Fallen,Megatron,Optimus,and .....ok triple meaning. I thought there was another..a well.
We got a resurrected Megatron that was also supposed to be Galvatron, but they didn't change it because they wanted to avoid confusion.
DOTM...did not mislead me But ROTF did.....at first I thought they were going to bring all the cons back from the dead that died in the first film...putting the ''the Fallen'' in the title.
Ah! How about Sam waking back up too at the end. The movie should have been called THE COMEBACKS! That sounds lame too

Anywhoo, regarding the subject, I originally thought ROTF was about the fallen soldiers of TF1, but then I saw a picture of a person called the Fallen in Simon Furman's TF: Ultimate Guide, I sorta made the connection and was like "WHOOA."
I thought ROTF was gonna be about Megatron coming back and bringing an army with him. And for some reason I pictured a scene on Cybertron with Starscream leading the Decepticons and he and Soundwave talking about conducting an army of their own (before Megatron shows up). DOTM was pretty much what I thought it would be. About something sinister on the moon coming to Earth.
Hmmm until I saw the trailer I was fairly adamant that the mention of 'moon' pointed towards something to do with Unicron, or another interplanetary conflict, especially since traditionally The Fallen's death, as a herald of Unicron, would mean the latter would appear somewhere soon.
Yup, I thought "Revenge of the Fallen" would mean the revenge of all the fallen Decepticons. And it would have been a brilliant title if that's actually what was meant. "Dark of the Moon"... still sounds like ******ed broken English imo and didn't accurately reflect what the movie was about.
