In DOTM, I thought that some of the scenes hinted that the Decepticons killed JFK. I'm probably wrong, but it's worth asking.
"Your monitor belongs to Megatron! Witness his Glory!" On Topic: Hmm...does the OP know which scene may have hinted at it? I only got to see DOTM once, unfortunately.
Sam told Simmons about assassinations and the Apollo missions as part of a conspiracy. If you put two and two together, then it's a possibility that the Decepticons tried to kill JFK so that the Space Race didn't happen and the humans didn't find the Ark. Also, Laserbeak killed an astronaut as part of a mapping mission of the dark side of the moon to hide something. If Decepticons wanted to hide something by killing a random astronaut, then I believe they'd kill the president who wanted to find the Ark.
I doubt it. We didn't reach the moon until after JFK's assassination. The Decepticons had no reason to try and stop the Apollo missions until AFTER Apollo 11, when they actually found the wreck of the Ark. And if anything, the death of JFK, one of the most beloved presidents in recent history, only spurred on the desire to fulfill his words of reaching the moon before 1970. That, and we were pretty hell-bent on beating the Soviets to the moon, anyway.
It would have been good if it was actually confirmed. It was maybe hinted at, but I don’t think it happened. Maybe Bay didn’t want to go down that route? It would have been pretty eerie.
If Alan Moore can say that the Comedian shot JFK, I don't see why Michael Bay can't say that the Cons did it.
What does being patriotic have to do with conspiracies in a movie? I am extremely patriotic and I somewhat believe in the JFK conspiracy theories and I do believe in aliens.
Damn, now I want to know what that guy's sig was. Anyways, that would be cool if it was Laserbeak or something that assassinated him. Apparently X-men is going a similar angle with a sequel of first class.
