I was re-watching DotM today when I noticed something that I haven't heard mentioned yet by anyone. At around the 2:20:00 mark or a little later, Sentinel is fighting the Autobots minus Optimus when he pulls out his Cosmic Rust gun and fires on Sideswipe, hitting him in the chest or shoulder. It's one of those split-second things that happened really quick and I was lucky to notice it.

So is that what happened to Sideswipe? Did he rust to death as Optimus gave his post-battle speech nearby?

I hope not. Thoughts?

 

He was by Bee's side when Ratchet congratulated him.

"You fought bravely"

 

Nah, he was alive at the end with 'Bee and Ratchet. Maybe the Rust Gun had some sort of non=lethal setting?

 

I noticed that last time I watched the movie, but as people pointed out, he's there at the end. I guess because he was in combat, he was able to use his blades to carve out the infected parts before he rusted away and that's how he survived. Ironhide was hit in the back and taken by surprise, so he didn't have chance to cut off the rusted bits before they got into his inner core and it was too late for him.

 

Ironhide was shot three times by Sentinel; twice in the back in rapid succession and once in the chest. He was already a goner.

 

Sideswipe was probably killed by lockdown post DOTM.

 

We know he died before AOE, but no, he was standing with Ratchet and Bumblebee while Optimus made his speech in the end of the movie

 

He survived the battle, we see him alive and well after Sentinel died.

He doesnt bit the bullet till until the gap between DOTM and AOE

 

I believe there a two barrel on Sentinel's Cosmic Rust Cannon. Maybe one barrel fires the standard firepower that damages others normally, then there's the other barrel the fires the Cosmic Rust chemical.

No that was Ironhide i think Sideswipe was killed by Lockdown during the events of Age of Extinction and some people don't know what happened to Mirage (Or Dino) (Some say that Dino is dead or some say that Dino/Mirage escaped from Cemetery Wind/Lockdown)

 

I believe he is in that shot that pans out on Prime's dismembered shoulder. He can be seen next to Leadfoot.

 

Given how we literally see him at the end of the movie standing next to Bumblebee I'm gonna say... no.

 

No, he's in the post-Chicago battle scene!

 

Yea he totally died the one next to bumblebee in the end of the film who's that guy guess we will never know.
