http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6035369556&sspagename=ADME:B:AAQ:US:1 Ok guys. I just got this auction in. It looked like it was for the Star TreK Trivia game. I got it and it was only the tin. I reread the auction, and I'm still not sure if the seller meant to sell only the tin or not. What do you guys think? The auction said new and never used, and the tin did come in plastic wrap. Why would they sell just the tin for the game unless it was to replace it or something. Anyway, does it look like he only meant to sell the tin?
It sounds exactly like he meant it to only be the tin. Otherwise he would have said with the trivia game instead of for the trivia game.
Yeah. I think your right. At least I didn't pay too much for it. Of course that's probably why I got it for so cheaply. Oh well, that only makes the second time I haven't read the auction right in at least five years of being on Ebay. It didn't even occur to me someone would just sell the tin. I still find it odd the tin came in plastic. I wouldn't think Mattell would sell just the tin like that.
Email him, tell him you didn't read the auction right, that he can keep the tin and the $.99 and see if he'll refund the shipping charge.
At least one person wasn't completely sure of that though. It would have been clearer if he said that it was for the tin only.
Eh, but if I'm selling a TF, do I need to say I'm only selling that TF and not the paper background? Dude bought himself a tin.
I would, but I already recieved it. Plus it was only a total of about $7 anyway. aksmth, Yeah that's usally what loose means. What threw me was the never used part, and it did come in plastic wrap like the new game would. The seller said it was for replacements or upgrades or something like that when I emailed him. I feel really stupid now. It was little unclear, but I still should've read it better. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
I wouldn't worry about it. You definitely live and learn. We've all done stupid stuff in our lives. Just be glad it was a $7 lesson.
When my friend got his xbox 360 a dude outside was asking to buy the 'box' for 20 bucks. When my friend asked 'why the box' he said that people on ebay are notoriously bad at not reading the descriptions and he can post the box online and say: SALE XBOX BOX MINT CONDITION BRAND NEW! and people will pay 500$ for it. Sadly he is correct and technically in the right and the person once shipped won;t get thier money back.
Yea, it clearly reads that it's just for the Tin, otherwise you got an insanely good deal for that trivia game.
I actually read about one of those for the 360 right before XMas where this lady spent over $900 for a 360 box and two games. She got the box and started bitching at eBay. IIRC she was actually able to get her money back. It was funny because the games were actually real, still sealed in plastic while the Xbox was just an empty box, so she had some 360 games with no possible way to play them.
