It was a modern retelling of vampires, but done right! But then, with a show written and directed by Joe Ahearne, can you expect any less? Here's my favourite clip from it...
Yeah, watched this when it first aired here, the year after This Life. Watched it because of Jack Davenport... I loved his character in the earlier series and saw he was in something else, so watched it... fell in love with it. Was really different at the time... like the video guns.
Great show. Was just thinking the other day that I should dig out my DVD set and rewatch it. Along with Metal Gear Solid, it was what made me want an H&K M23 SOCOM pistol. Still haven't got round to making that TV camera addon for it.
Yes. Out of all the various modern vampire tales, this has been the best thus far. I really should get the DVD set.
I must be too young as I really don't remember it or just wanst TV when it was on. I'm not a big TV fan. Sorry to hijack the thread but anyone remember the name of the 80's/early 90's UK TV show where people wore backpacks and were shot at (infared toy gun thingy) by some dude in a helicopter and if they got shot too many times their backpack wouldn't open at the end?
Interceptor. Challenge are running it at the moment. Surprisingly entertaining, largely because the guy playing the Interceptor plays it like a comic/cartoon villain.
I watched this a couple of years ago, I think because it was mentioned a lot on a Doctor Who forum I was reading at the time, and I really liked it. I was actually thinking about the show recently, since Idris Elba did a guest stint on "The Office", might have to pick up the DVDs...
