So I was checking out the HD screen caps of the teaser and saw that Grimlock has a lot of green and gold colors to him, he's not just gray. This just leads me to believe at some point he gets cleaned up to a more polished verison. Not an "upgrade" but closer to the black and gold version we saw earlier in the year.

 

Yeah I made mention of this a while back when we first saw the spot.

I'm sure he's been in stasis for a very long time and he's basically tarnished lol. Even tho he has gold coloring, I think its just that. Real gold does not tarnish. But his metal chemistry may be made up of metals that tarnish and or rust as he also has silver on him so a lot of the green color could be the silver turned green too. So maybe something will happen to bring him back into his pristine gold, black and silver colors.

This is also proof that the Dinobots are not man made. I think if they were, Grim would be all pristine and shiny like our nameless car cutting TF lol

Also look closely at Grimlock. He couldn't be man made because why would the humans go through all the trouble of putting on cybertronian symbols?

 

Yup, I mentioned that as well when I first brought up his colorings

I think the green is a form of rust, not part of his actual paintjob.

Then over several centuries he ends up getting covered in rocks and dirt and becomes the version we see here. Regardless Toy Fair will be arriving soon to ruin all our hopes and dreams - its going to be glorious

True. It's normally the older or ancient
TFs that have the markings. OP, Megs, Fallen, Sentinel, Dinobots. But in some cases others do have marking on them. The wreckers for example are covered in them. But like I said, the car cutter TF does not look
To have any or at least none that we can see yet. I just feel that if it was Galvatron, as in an a Galvatron that is as old as OP or older, he would have markings too right?

Even if its not Galvatron but maybe Cyclonus or some other older TF, I would think he too would be marked up with Cybertronian symbols and so on. He just looks to clean to me. So he may very well be a new younger Galvatron/Cyclonus and he is man made Galvatron/Cyclonus/Magnus.

 

That all looks like some form of rust to me. Definitely not anything clean.

On a side note, does anyone else think Optimus looks like a dog in that picture?

 

The face definitely looks weird... think its because they altered the size of Optimus to fit him in frame in the image... could even be why they are doing reshoots for that area

 

I would imagine that may be one of those full screen IMAX shots and maybe its just not properly formatted yet I guess lol??
