    1) does it come off the base?
    2) does it open any?
    3) would it be too heavy for someone to wear it around their neck? :p

looks like it opens. check out the high res version of the first couple pics and you can see the center lines don't match up. i would imagine it comes off the base. i wonder how they suspend the crystal. someone make a plastic copy so we can wear it :)

The Matrix is amazing. Having the Key to Vector Sigma on there was the kicker. I think barring it being way out of my price range that I'll try to pick one of these up.

The motion globes are cool too, especially the Autobot one. I'm curious how big they are.

Okay, I'll be the bastard that says this: I love the shell, and the base, but the matrix itself (the blue-green part) looks like some kind of cheap plastic. It would look so much better if it looked more like it were made of glass or a crystal. As it stands I'll probably still consider it, but I really wish that part looked better.

    Wow.

    ...wow.

    I require that.

If it opens, it'll be perfect. The Key to Vector Sigma is a -nice- touch, too.

I guess my only nag would be that I hope it doesn't end up costing several hundred dollars, but that's mostly because if it does, I may not be able to get one. :cry

I see a seam! I SEEEEEE A SEEEEEEEEEMMMMMM! I THINK IT OPENS! Itd be even cooler if it was magnetized so the crystal is suspended in the air when its open :D  you can tell ive been sitting on this idea for quite some time

Wow, that's really amazing. Like others, I hope its not tons of cash, because if it is I really can't part with that much money.

Dad gone it; I WANT that Matrix! I just hope I can find some way to afford it, with finances being so slagging tight.

(And any time I actually go ahead and post something in here, you KNOW this must be huge....)

Outtsyder, should really drop by and post a little more often in here....

Some of the off-angle pictures, if you look at the high-res versions, shows a small clear plastic "slide" on each side of the crystal part inside the Matrix, as well as a seam down the middle. So, I'd say that it comes off the stand, opens at least a little ways, and the clear plastic makes it appear as if the crystal is suspended inside. I'd also guess that this is what activates the light, if there is one. Imagine, as you open it, light. . .

Now THAT would be cool. If I'm wrong, it's still pretty cool, but oh do I hope I'm right.

Excellent! It should come with a chain too, to stick round your neck.
Actually there is one thing about it that's bothering me; the outer ring doesn't look like it's made of metal. Should be much shinier I think.

Well, minor points. I think the Vector Sigma key is a bit small and isn't the center of the Matrix supposed to be blue? Anyway, I'll be getting the Matrix and the globes if I can swing it. Prime's head too. I just hope the releases are spaced as I won't be able to plop down the better part of 1K USD at one time.

I only need to know these 3 things When, Where, and How much. just so i can start saving up and im not short of cash when its released. I dont have/make much $$ but if i can spend $500 at cybercon and then pay nearly $200 for predaking...why stop there??
