Diamond Select busts - Megatron and Bumblebee

    It looks like two new items from Diamond Select have shown up as pre-order items on BBTS. I've done number of searches here and these appear to be new. I sure haven't seen them before.

    G1 Bumblebee Bust Bank - 6 inches tall $17.99 PVC

    Bumblebee Roto Bust Bank - Transformers Busts G1 Style Busts at BigBadToyStore

    G1 Megatron Bust - Over 5 inches tall $39.99 This one is different than the SDCC exclusive bust already reported. Notice the lack of arms and thus.. no canon of awesomeness?

    Meh...the Bumblebee one is pretty okay, don't like the Megatron one, though.

    My favorite bust stays the somewhat flat-ish Wheeljack bust..:)

    Huh... the Bumblebee is made of plastic and the Megatron is clearly a departure from the ones they've been doing up to this point, stylistically. Pretty terrible sculpts, especially BB's face.

    BB's face looks fine to me. It's at least pretty toon accurate right?

    $18 is a pretty great price for a bank/bust that looks as good as it does.

    I don't buy busts though.

    Megatron with no arm gun is a huge fail. Especially considering they are also doing the SDCC bust that looks fantastic with arms. This one is kind of... "Why exactly?"

    I have a serious distaste of any bust that the character has no arms. No thank you.

    I've got all of the Hard Hero Transformers busts dispalyed across 2 large bookcases in the kids' rec room and that wee little Bumblebee may be just the ticket to compliment the collection as HardHero didn't get around to making a Bumblebee bust. I'll squeeze bee between Grimlock and UltraMagnus...the little bugger...

    The lighting on the BB bust makes him look like he has pupils. Creepy. His head is a little thin, but I think the BB bust looks pretty good overall. I still hate busts though.

    Really not like those sculpts...and they can't go blaming it on being PVC. It looks like these have been knocked out really quickly.
