This has probably been mentioned somewhere but I cant find it for the life of me...

On the Diaclone police cars (Prowl, Clampdown, Sunstreaker) what is the little "starburst" symbol that is on their hoods called?

I want to make a few stickers that are MP sized and want to find a sharp image somewhere on the interwebs.

    Thanks.

I noticed it on one of the dry transfer sets for MP Prowl. I think it's a 5-petal cherry blossom shield, probably the symbol of some kind of law enforcement agency in Japan. Similar symbols show up on a lot of old Japanese swords associated with the military. I'd love to know more, but it really is hard to find that info.

Thanks Cax6ton:thumb ...your description pointed me in the right direction.

Turns out it is the symbol for the National Police Agency of Japan.

...still haven't found out what it's called, but I'm still trying.

    Thanks Maz.

Awesome read BTW. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your articles detailing the history of the Diaclone TFs. So much good stuff there. :D
