unfortunately, mft seem to charge a hell of a lot more for their own designs, and with the wei jiang take down, i can see the direct KOs stopping altogether. hopefully not before they do the epsilon suit

It's a shame that the Vecma Factory (supplier) doesn't do mech suits (and they seem like they are having some sort of problem with that supplier) - that may be why the Optimus / Megatron derived suits are still not out.

I think if they'd actually made their own copy of the epsilon suit design and perhaps released it alongside the mamoth in a matching grey that would have been a nice accompanyment even it wasn't physically packed with it.

I can understand wanting to cool it for a while on the 1-1 copies- but their own colours still work really nicely the medium bright green that was usedon the suit that came with MFT's version of hardhead was nice, the yellow colour they use from time to time I really like and the assorted reds.

Heck offering suits in colours that makes sense for the official and unofficial products that Takara themselves didn't do is a very nice thing to have not to mention they have the angry bird pig looking one and the engineering suit they could always do something interesting with.

Kind of a strange question, but what do you guys do with the containers for the smaller MFT mechs? I see they're loaded with ports and the really compact ones have the section on the back that disconnects, but I don't have any idea what they're supposed to connect to.

I have a couple up for trade/sale, but if I can find a cool way to display them, or put together a decent diorama, I might just keep them.

You can chain connect them to make a small barrier or such, and they are the "storage"...

I have them as part of the "storage" in my base:

    Or during transport :

As far as being versatile, I think that they're great.

They get tossed in a box. I have so freaking many of the damned things..

I think Takara had initial plans for the original "air" pods which mostly got scrapped. The newer pods may or may not be an improvement, but again there seems to be a lot of unused potential besides stacking them. One of these days I mean to try putting a bunch of the air and bike kit parts on them and try to make something interesting.

The containers are not especially useful accept to store stray pieces inside of or the bots themselves - I do wish they could stack like the later containers can ; They'd be more useful perhaps once more diaclone compatible items are made - or if you are lucky enough to have a nice base or base bot to put them in... they make decent enough set dressing I guess. Mostly I just pick them up and shift them around like Starcom otherwise they live in a storage case.

I'm afraid, this topic should be closed. MFT doesn't produce any Diaclone Reboot KOs anymore. Instead of it they've created their own "acid rain" or something alike. Just compatible with old molds, but it's not Diaclone, not a bit.

Yes these new ones are a bit Acid Rain like... I don't dislike them though they still fit into my Head Canon for the MFT Universe which is essentially a world where Humans got advanced robotech (pardon the pun) from Alien visitors (namely the Transformers). represented by driven mechs and various "Diaclone" like items.

But if you are only in it for the Diaclone - the Lunar series totally fits in perfectly I feel with the Grey Prototype & White colour space theme Diaclone, as well as being directly inter-compatible like the Mammoth is.

Would I like them to be making more "actual" Diaclone copies sure, but I'm also completely understanding of their caution at present.

I'm sure that whatever the final form of the Combiner they are "slowly" building is.. it will be a good fit with the legit stuff too.

But I hope they don't give up on Diaclone copies - even if they have to sidestep the concerns by only making it in "wrong" colours. heck if they want to make an army green Big Powered KO - I am NOT going to complain I can assure you of that.

I'm absolutely not against them making their own Diaclone compatible mecha and vehicles.

Can anyone speak for the quality of the MFT Maneuver Suits? 25-Alpha, specifically. I want to get one but I want to know if it's better than the one MFT set I got before (Cosmo Manuever).

i got all the MFT maneuver suits and each one have been great in my opinion. i have the mold three time (regular release, SAT, and the one that came with rodimus) and all three are solid.

gamma is still my favorite though followed by beta. hoping we get an epsilon though that thing looks evil.

Well in terms of colour - "maybe" but we got a Purple suit in with the dark Rodimus Prime - so perhaps not in terms of mould - though they worryingly imply that as the mech suits come from another factory to the one who made Highbrow the mech suits may be off the table with products that other factory makes *unless perhaps that is the same factory doing the Lunar stuff*

I'm starting to wonder what has happened to the Optimus and Megatron colour suits though - unless they sneaked out without me noticing.
