With the release of Titan Returns Legends Kickback, I finally could finish off this trio of Insecticons based on their pre-TF Diaclone colors (as well as an E-Hobby set of Insecticon "clones") that began with Botcon 2015 Zaptrap. EDIT: As wwoptimusprime notes they also homage the SG Insecticons, I forgot about that! Thanks! Zaptrap with my customs of Shothole and Salvo Some comparison shots, I also touched up the Hasbro Insecticons a little bit to be more cartoon accurate. They're using guns from Maidenjapan, originally meant for the Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass Junkions. Here's a Beetras Beet Gugal from Generations CW Chop Shop. If Hasbro/Takara ever makes Barrage and Ransack (and Venom damn it) remolds of the Legends Insecticons I will repaint them into their pre-TF Beetras colors as well! I hope Hastak releases a colour-coordinated boxed set of all three insecticons (with matching purples) and a diaCLONE set too. Are you going to pop Decepticon symbols on your customs?
Ideally they shouldn't even have emblems because I'm using them in a Diaclone Classics display but since I have a bunch of figures there with emblems that I never removed there I guess I'll add some to make the Insecticons match. The E-Hobby set did have Decepticon sets on them so it wouldn't be unprecedented. Yes even though I have these figures and customs, I'd buy additional cohesive sets, why not since they are army troop builders!
Since this thread was bumped today, i figure it's a good time to show my custom repaint of the unreleased pre-TF Beetras Beet Vadam Ransack (as seen in foreign catalogs). I was originally going to repaint Titans Return Kickback as Deluxe Insecticon Ransack but figured this obscure recolor would be less likely to be officially made.

I'm honestly surprised three-packs of the various G1, Deluxe and Diaclone coloured versions haven't had an official release yet. They're obvious troop-builders. Nice work!
