REPORT: Diablo 2 Remastered Arriving Later This Year “A new report from French news outlet ActuGaming suggests that Blizzard is developing a new edition of the classic Diablo 2. There is some legitimacy to the claims, as the editor of the site previously correctly predicted Overwatch 2, Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. According to "sources close to the studio," the game will be titled Diablo 2: Resurrected and is aiming to launch in late 2020. Vicarious Visions, which is responsible for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, is working with Blizzard on the game.” This could either be a redemption following the disaster of Warcraft III, or they blow it again...
I'm gonna keep a loose eye on this because Diablo 2 is quite possibly the game I've sunken the most time into but I fully expect them to botch it. I'm worried it'll either be Diablo 3 with a D2 coat of paint, a proper attempt to replicate D2 that fails to capture what made it work, or they're gonna make some 'improvements' that deviate too much from the original. That or it'll be a stealth sequel via some time travel BS instead of an actual remake...
This is been fighting around for a while apparently it is going to be available on PlayStation 4 Xbox and on switch so a portable D2 with updated graphics would be amazing
